Pfft, we all know you'd only get 21 seconds into it before you exceeded your data cap.Finally. I can't wait to stream YouPorn to my 60" TV.
Sort of, but it didn't work worth a shit.Could have done that already with the Cast this Tab feature!
It doesn't take me long.Pfft, we all know you'd only get 21 seconds into it before you exceeded your data cap.
Worked for me when I used to cast Twitch.tv to my Chromecast. Of course I wouldn't have noticed a/v sync or similar problems.Sort of, but it didn't work worth a shit.
I have tried it several times with things like Vimeo and it has always been a complete shit show.Worked for me when I used to cast Twitch.tv to my Chromecast. Of course I wouldn't have noticed a/v sync or similar problems.
Odd, I've noticed its pretty CPU intensive (hence my post recently doubting we will see cast tab on Android) maybe your CPU doesn't cut it?I have tried it several times with things like Vimeo and it has always been a complete shit show.
Its almost like you read my post yesterday as you even used similar phrasing....Google Finally Opens Chromecast Up to All Developers with Official Cast API
Looks like they finally opened the gates
Hopefully the guy who released the addons to make it cast movies gets to work asap again, he had some great ones when it first came out. That will make the chromecast that much more useful. Would be great if I could use it as an extender for my media center pc with live tv
It's possible, I was doing it from my shitty netbook that I use to web surf while I watch TV.maybe your CPU doesn't cut it?
Not sure how I missed that post yesterday. Either way Im just happy its opened up.Its almost like you read my post yesterday as you even used similar phrasing....
It just isn't made to do that. I don't think you'll ever see great streaming performance of anything unless it's a specifically written Chromecast app (like Netflix, Hulu, Plex, Youtube, etc) Chromecast just doesn't work well trying to cast random web pages.so whats the real deal with streaming my desktop with chromecast and not stuttering?
I haven't seen stuttering when I've streamed Twitch.tv (fullscreen) to my Chromecast. This is from an i5-3570k w/ 12gb ram connected to the wifi access point via gigabit so wireless traffic only goes in one direction. (Of course there could be a/v sync issues that aren't really noticeable w/o someone's face but the sounds do seem to match whats happening)It just isn't made to do that.
