Why do they look so funny running? Who did this animation. The arms just look all wrong when you run.

Games are too worried about making realistic graphics vs something that just plays and looks smooth.

I got in instantly after just pressing the "notify me" button on Steam. Didn't even check my e-mail, it was just added to the library on steam for download.

Edit: My first impressions after 40 or so minutes.
- Character creation seems very detailed.



- Ditto on the aiming on ranged that was mentioned. Especially on a controller. Miss a lot.
- Animations are... clunky? The moves are smooth, but interactions are not. Trying to run past something and interact on it, makes it look like you are rubberbanding (like running past something you can harvest, then pressing the button for it. It stops you, then lets you move forwards again, then you have to stop fully to harvest it which triggers the harvest animation.)
- Performance is not good. 4k on cinematic is 30-40fps. On the second highest setting, shadows turned one more step down, and res scale set at 80, it is somewhat stable at around 60, with dips down to 50-55.

Overall.... meh?

Got an invite this morning, played for maybe 30min. Performance is terrible for me on a 3080 with the high preset, and it doesn't look very good for that bad performance either. Movement is also pretty bad, jumps are very floaty. I actually liked the berserker twin chain axes and their abilities, but again the animations need work, and so do the visual effects of abilities. The character creator is actually pretty nice, that's in a good spot but they should add a beauty album like BDO to share creations.

Overall the performance is so bad/inconsistent that I dont really want to play any more right now. I still think the game has potential, but they're being held back by the technical side a lot atm.

Didnt like it, but visually it looked better than what i was expecting after some recent videos.

Plays like a tech demo, no real mmo here. No heart and soul went into this. Bare bones janky shit, your time would be better spent in literally any other game. Hell, New World is 10x the game this is.

Game is way too dark/grey. Clunky as fuck. Animations are shit. I assume that the game is capped at 60FPS? I have not gone above 62FPS.

The subreddit for this is pretty funny. Lots of ppl saying the game is trash, then lots of ppl replying saying the ever popular "It's a beta! Don't you know what a beta is!?!?!" followed by the "it's an build, the upcoming cbt2 build fixes all the issues!!!!".

Gameplay feels awful and Kakao CEO trying to legitimate it about "it's just an older build" feels like they just deter anyone to buy their game.

It actually kind of makes me dubious about how Archeage 2/Archeage Chronicles will turn out
