I would be OK with them just moving on to a different Story, though I would hope whatever they make had the same combat style. Getting that same mix of music / writing / VA could be very difficult.
the cool part t ho is that the music was a no-name soundcloud guy, so (barring another studio hiring him) he should be easy to get. the writing was a no-name.. (i think she was in real estate?) lady who could write again. and VA's are interchangable (to an extent) so they have all their ingredients on lock down if they have another go at it. shit they could use their tiny ass team (suplimented by asian effects people) and make any kind of thing and just keep dunking on AAA.

the gamedevs got together and put together this trailer in progress 5years ago on reddit/4chan and said we need 5voice actors for this game

and the writer lady and the composer said, what about us too?
(notice maelle and lune)

"Was". The soundtrack was #1 on Classic Billboard for a while, and is still #2 months later. Guarantee you he's being flooded with offers.

They've said they're not done with the "Clair Obscur" world, but don't know if that means a different story in the same world or more with the family. With the mystery being such a big part of it, there's no way a sequel could live up to this so maybe some DLC and then moving on to something new would be best

I just want more turn based jrpg. They seem pretty good at it
The whole thing revolved around the parry/dodge mechanic and I did not like that. Every fight revolved around perfect timing for your parrys and that shit just sucked all the fun out of turn based IMO. I know some people like that shit and thats fine, I didnt. It removes any tactical game play that ordinary turn based games have.

yea i didn't like it either. i disabled the defensive quicktimes and then kind of over min-maxed to make up for my lax dodging.
