So my wife and I happened to watch Crazy Rich Asians this afternoon while our daughter was at school. She's Japanese, and 99% of the other nurses in her hospital are also Asian. As such, they all seem to love the movie. So we went.
Honestly, it wasn't bad. Typical romantic movie. They're calling it a rom-com, but there weren't any real "hahaha!" scenes. It was more of a dram-rom, if that's a thing. The part that I enjoyed the most was realizing that one of the characters is none other than Jian-Yang from Silicon Valley! Good on him.

I wasn't able to find any youtube clips of his character, but just know that he's there. And has a pimp cane.

yeah, jin-yiang was great and yeah it was a rom-com-drama (which are like most asian movies, bollywood and china and korea) because i fell asleep a few times but my wife loved it. its fast and the furious for women. the biggest shock really was how small the lead actress's titties were, i think my man boobs are bigger :(

totally worth for date night or whatever, all the food porn scenes were fucking amazing but sadly no titties and all the asian women looked alike, i honestly thought for a while a dude was fucking his sister and that got me invested but then i found out it was two different women

the lead dude is totally gonna blow up, he's already in another movie this weekend (a simple plan i think) and i wouldn't be surprised if he's the next james bond

I think I heard somewhere that this was the lead dude's first movie ever. Good on him.

Lead girl def had tiny tits. But the rich one that got cheated on by inadequate husband was the hottest of the bunch. At least in my opinion.
I can't believe they already green-lighted movies 2 & 3.

You're not kidding about fast and furious for chicks. The street food they ate shortly after arriving in Singapore looked awesome. Do they really have Michelin rated food trucks out there?
