Watched Asmongold play Dark Souls. He's pretty bad at it. I don't understand his appeal. He's got some videos on YouTube. Checking out his Dark Souls 3 stuff now.

Watched some DS 1 speedrun that i guess ended up being a reaction vid from him.

Was just him being confused and a narrator that kept repeating "Oh yeah, you don't know about this, do you?"

I don't generally care to watch people play video games, but if you do then whatever. Watching someone who's watching someone play video games is a weird fucking hobby, though

Yeah I generally just like watching people play Dark Souls which is how I found the videos. I enjoy the rage most people experience from these games. He uploaded his play through from Twitch onto YouTube. I don't usually watch any other games.

He beat the game but didn't read anything and couldn't figure out how the game worked really. He was just not very smart.

I think some of that was deliberate for a comedy effect.

Demon's Souls Remaster Rumours Reignited by One Word from Kotaku Editor Jason Schreier

The popular gaming forum ResetEra recently opened a thread, wishfully hoping for a Demon's Souls remaster. This is a project that's been heavily rumoured for some time now, with many believing remaster specialists Bluepoint Games is currently hard at work on reviving the overlooked PlayStation 3 action RPG. "Think we’ll ever get a Demon Souls remaster?" asks the thread's title.

"Yes," responds Schreier. His single word response has sown fresh hope that a Demon's Souls remaster exists, because there's a possibility he knows something we don't.

I want to believe but I am skeptical.

ehh doubt it on the Demon's Souls remaster , I bet Bluepoint is working on ICO, now that they have an actual "art" department I bet they headed full speed into doing it after SoTC.

I think he's an editor at Kotaku. I don't know what that's worth , but that is why.

Needless Needless he is using the dragon torso stone I think.

Finished this earlier, it's been on my backlog forever, was pretty good but overall I feel the series might need some new stuff, it felt very more of the same-ish. I did like the revisiting old places thing and some of the areas were great(Irithyll and the Ringed City stuff mostly) but many places just felt like "oh, this is this kind of place again" with the same type of enemies and traps. They also made a lot of the area types easier by making them less fucking annoying, like the poison swamp and catacombs. Mind you, it had some annoying shit too. The first area in the Ariandel DLC was so fucking annoying with the wolves, the fireball trees and the big guys.

I played my usual dagger(bandit knife specifically) build, which started in DS1 as a challenge build, was an ok but kinda weak build in DS2 and is arguably one of the strongest PvE build in DS3 that I could see(at least melee wise). Quickstep is absolutely retarded and not sure how they thought it'd be a good idea for balance and they unfucked Bleed/Poison enough that it's actually very strong now on bosses it works on, which they also made more of. It used to be you couldn't bleed most shit and the few you could bleed it barely made a difference, but in this it's more like anything that you can bleed will die at stupid speed.

Since I wanted to get the achievements since I was pretty close anyway, I replayed NG+ and NG++ with different weapons to get an idea and Bandit Knife was definitely way stronger than the greatswords I tried(unless summoning phantom to tank for you), and even the dual wield scimitars/scythe shit I tried for fun. I actually got tired trying to do Nameless King on NG++ with Dancer's blades and just switched back to Bandit and one shot it with like 2 flasks used because it was the last thing I needed to finish the achievements.

Try a Fume build! It has an amazing moveset and you can also fuck around with Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords which are just the tits for PvP.

I played with Paired Greatswords on my NG+, it was alright but still not close to Bandit Knife unless I had a phantom to tank the boss from me while I did the fancy R2 R1 combo shit, then it did tons of damage. Thing with daggers is you can basically weave quicksteps between hits and both attack and avoid shit at the same time. It's fairly disgusting and when there's an actual opening to punish, as long as the enemy can bleed, you get similar damage with a carthus rouge on from the bleed procs. The only real downside is the sucky range on the knives/daggers, which made some bosses more annoying than they should be(the dragon first phase on nameless king and midir for example).

Anyway I'm not playing anymore since I got 3 playthroughs in already and don't feel like trying any of the other weapons. Was just commenting on the fact it did feel very similar to previous Souls and the formula is a bit, stale maybe. Bloodborne was a nice change of pace for example, even if it did many things similar, it did a bunch of stuff differently enough. So I'm looking forward to them maybe shaking things up a bit for their next Soul-like(which isn't Sekiro, that looks way too different in style imo, although I'm excited about that too).

And now I've started up DS3 for like a 10th time to try out this build. Thanks a lot. As if I didn't have enough of a backlog I'm going to go play a game I've beaten god knows how many times.

I played through as a pyro which was easy and a great mace strength build. That was super easy. Hitting shit for 700 a pop and staggering everything. Was pretty easy. Vordts mace had me kill Gael on the second attempt.

Yeah Vordt's mace was the easiest run i've ever done. Sister Friede made me feel hopeless and took hours with twinblades, while with Vordt's I got her second attempt after almost 1 shotting her. That stagger is so OP.

Not sure why the Gael fight just seems to click with me, but he's never taken more than 2 attempts with any build.

The prepare to try guys left IGN and went into business for themselves. They did Dark Souls 1 and 3 and Bloodborne on prepare to try.

For their first play through on their own company they are doing Dark Souls 2.

RKG is their new company.

They are enjoyable to watch. Feels like hanging out with your mates.
