Plot: The warrior Deathstalker is tasked by an old witch lady to obtain and unite the three powers of creation – a chalice, an amulet, and a sword – lest the evil magician Munkar get them and use them for nefarious purposes. After obtaining the sword, Deathstalker joins with other travelers going to the Big Tournament to determine the strongest warrior. The false king holds the true princess in captivity, and plots to have Deathstalker killed, and Deathstalker must fight to free the princess.

This looks like low budget garbage.
However, that "sword" at the end made me laugh so I might see this in the theatre as a laugh (hopefully). I know it's going to be bad but maybe it will be funny bad.

I mean Steven Kostanski has a thing and I don't hate it. Psycho Goreman was actually pretty great and I remember liking The Void too. I'm down for this.

The universe listens to my thoughts.... I was just thinking of this. I literally was thinking of how in 2 3 and 4 they ALL use b-footage from the first movie, and even have main characters (I think even the main big bad) just as random cut away scenes lol its kinda amusing. THE best part that always had a part- was in the feat scene there is a pig headed fighter guy/bad guy - and he holds up a cooked roasted pig head, looks at it odd, then TAKES A BIG BITE - its hilarious! I literally thought to myself "They need to make a new Deathsalker, or even just some fantasy combat tourney movie, just big cheese, big boobs, big fun and have that scene in it as a call back..." I had to post this before I watched the trailer because I am that jazzed by even the post!

I love the cheese and sword and scandal movies and these 4 movies are like their prime - I will post one of the best parts of Deathstalker 2 other than...ahem...other plots..

Will be watchable only if is a faithful remake with tons of gratuitous T&A. Somehow, in 2025, I don't think that will be the case.

LOL this is great cheese, the sword looks like it has one of those generic "stainless steel" marks - like a sword from the flea market

Cant wait, I may just go to the movies by myself and buy a giant bucket of popcorn just cuz

I was telling my wife this is the perfect kind of movie to remake. I'm sure it has a cult following but is largely unknown to most.

I love how in the OG everyone had the obviously fake chunky prop swords of every roger corman classic, except the magic main sword and it looked sooooo out of place.

I have seen all 4, 3 is the worst mostly bc its almost impossible to find (or was) in full form only the mst3k cut/tv edit.

2 is great because it was less serious

1 and 4 are the more serious in tone (same main actor) and kinda the continuations / sequel as a soft remake.

Pig guy eating roast pig b stock is in every one I think lol
