You just have to wonder how exactly someone gets so fucked in the head. What has to happen during the course of one"s early life that so warps the capacity for reason and decency such that Sam"s form of logic is the result?

Is it as simple as perhaps noting that he pulled the wings off of flies or liked seeing animals in pain or being beaten or whatnot as someone like Dahmer did? But even then what"s behind that?
