I took my daughter to see this today. It was very good. We both watched some kid spaz out in joy when a character did something. He was punching the air and shaking, so we both laughed at him.

I see incel in his future, if he isn't already there.

Movie was enjoyable, but some couple brought their little kids to it who couldn't read fast enough for subtitles and spent the entire movie asking their parents what was being said at the top of their lungs

Stories like this is why I don’t go to theaters anymore, on top of the shit I have seen. If me yelling “Shut the fuck up” does stop em I just go get a refund. It’s that or escalate it to physical and too old for that time suck.

I assume this is one of those compilation movie that is the last 3 episodes of a season and the first of the next, all with minor touch ups here and there and voilà?

It's the other way around, the final arc is being made as 3 movies which crunchyroll will probably dissect into episodes later on.

Movie is really great, animation is as expected top shelf and it had great sound too.

Kids and I both really enjoyed it.

It wasn't. 100% new and original. Well, maybe 95% because we saw the infinity castle briefly at the end of last season.

This is a movie made for a theater. It will not be turned into a season the way the train arc did. And this is only the first of 3 movies that will finish off the series. There are no more seasons of Demon Slayer, just 2 more movies. Then it's all over.

going to 25seat theater my wife thinks it's gonna be a small screen, but i said no this is the one w/ the super reclining seats

Recliner seats are the new normal anymore. As long as you aren't in a bottom tier theater, they're all recliner. You're probably going to one of the smaller screens at that theater. I was in the huge theater last night. Seats probably 200 people. Screen is easily 100 ft wide. Probably 125. Movie was about 85% full, this is in Hawaii. Asians make up most of the population out here.

thats how i kept up w/ my canto when i was a kid, i'd watch movies and read subs

like can they can they watch anime w/o subs?
i could almost do it w/ canto but i would have to "think" alot to translate cuz i thought in english.

just giving you perspective as a kid that grewup w/ 2 languages


one of my friends is spanish/white, she'll exclusively talk to the kid in spanish and the dad will just do the english at home. (i actually don't think this is good, b/c of their roles, and he seems too flinch everytime he hears spanish cuz shes just always disciplining in spanish, ha)

My daughter is pretty good. Way better than my son. She can hold conversations with mommy in Japanese, and they do every time they don't want me to know what they're talking about (not that often, at least). My son, while looking way more Asian than my daughter (he has the eyes), is pretty much 100% American. He knows about as much Japanese as I do, which is pretty laughable.

Additionally, my son doesn't watch Anime. It's only my daughter and I that do. He's too busy playing stupid fucking games on Roblox.
