Just watched the first episode. Has a good opening scene that I did not expect. I am curious as to where this goes. So far I am enjoying it.

This is on Netflix.

The same person writing, directing, and producing this show did The Queen's Gambit. So that is something.

Endorsed. It's based on the danish writer's novels. Watch, win Greenland.

I think its well acted and the story is fine. Its a bit long winded and confusing at times though. Something about the way they introduce characters and move back and forth between sub plots.

It was well done but I agree there were portions that could have been left out. That being said, I would enjoy another season of this. It was one of the better things I have watched this year.

Now that the team is formed.....

Solid show. A lot of somewhat cliché "gritty cop drama" stuff, but it's done well enough for it to not be an issue.

After seeing the season, there was a slight sense of familiarity to me, but it's because the same novels this show is based on have been turned into a bunch of danish films and I have seen one of them (A Conspiracy of Faith). There are 10 novels, 10 danish films are planned with 6 being out, so there is for sure a lot of material for additional seasons of this show, though I am not sure how challenging it can be to move some of these stories to Scotland.

Well done all around, I recommend for sure!

Good acting, solid plot, nice slow moving Detective style series.

Refreshing to see.

I generally hate British shows like this cause they just seem...not really overacted, but like they're trying to mimic American shows and doing it poorly. Like a child trying to imitate adult behavior and it's just off.

Not finished with this one yet, but I was kind of hooked in the first episode when I was trying to figure out the connection between the two stories and completely whiffed on my guesses.

So last night at the 3/4 mark of episode 4 my wife looked at me and asked did I know what was going on because she didn't (and she's British so it wasn't the accents). I admitted I did not and we turned it off and deleted it.

Were you doomscrolling tik-tok at the same time or what was going on there? It's true that there is a slightly confusing element which is people chatting about past events that for a while are not shown in flash-backs, so you have four or five names of people and places you can't immediately put pictures to, but still... it's not the most convoluted plot. It is also a pretty static plot, by this I mean the investigators work on a cold case, not a (very) active one with investigators and criminals crisscrossing and trying to out-smart each other.

This series had some flash back moments, but it was not that confusing.

If you think this show was confusing, do NOT bother watching one of the all time best Science Fiction shows......Dark.

Compared to the usual woke retarded slop they air these days, this show is easily 9/10.
If your family likes crime/police procedural/midsomer murders type stuff it's literally a must watch.
