Insert video card of your choice.
Thats almost exactly my work PC build, except I got a 500GB Samsung Evo. Total cost =$550 thanks to Microcenter and some slick deals sales (EVGA 650W gold power supply was $55 after $15 rebate last week)

Question for anyone that has used these "infinity edge", Dell makes them, LG has an "Infinity Display" etc, where there's almost no bezel at all.

While I was in Microcenter I looked at multiple brands of these, and while every one had a tiny thin plastic bezel, probably thinner than a cheap mouse mat, the displayed desktop/picture on every single one didn't actually go to the edge of the physical screen. Each screen had probably 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch of black around it, as if it were more bezel, but it was actually just a black area of the screen itself. I even jacked with the display settings on several and couldn't get any of them to stretch to fill 100% of the screen, all had black edges on the screen.

Is that typical, or did Microcenter just have some jacked up settings on these things? Because while the plastic bezel is nicely tiny, that defeats the whole purpose if you have a black edge on the screen making it look like more bezel from a distance.

Does anyone have any recommendations for ultra-portable desktops?

I'm looking to get a new system for school starting in late August and unfortunately I don't think I can count on the 1070M/1080M being available by then, plus I think I can save some money by going ultra-portable desktop with peripherals I already own instead of a new laptop.

I'm going to be use it for intense gaming, video editing, and maybe VR, so I'm trying to find a build that can give me a Skylake i7, 32 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1070 or 1080 all while being ultra-portable. My budget is around $2,000.

I installed the same exact setup on my vid card tonight. I had the h90 from a previous build sitting idle, so I used it with the g10. Went together fine. I don't really like the way the bracket looks, but my card is sitting in the low 20s and i dont have to look at the bracket anyhow.

Will have to re-work some things internally in my case at some point though, as its a bit crowded in that corner of my case now.

Shitty picture because my phone sucks and my camera is almost as bad, but here's my WIP battlestation with a Dell S2716DG and a U2717D.

Alternately, if you want a pre-made system with all of your specs while still being relatively small (mini ITX case, would probably fit in a backpack) you could look at something like this:

http://slickdeals.net/f/8943911-cybe...68-25-with-f-s

Can bump up that listed build to 32GB for an end price of about $1470

You get:
i7 6700k
480GB Intel SSD
EVGA Geforce 1070
32GB of DDR4 2800
EVGA 600W PSU
Razer Mechanical Keyboard
Win 10
Some random gaming headset/mouse/mousepad
3 year warranty + 1 year tech support.

Not bad, but I think I'm gonna try to fit in a smaller chassis. That one is only 13 inches tall, which is nice, but the 17 inches deep makes me think I can do better.

Alright, here's my preliminary list, I really liked joeboo's suggestion of the Corsair case. I'm not very good at judging quality of motherboards, RAM, or PSUs so any advice there would be appreciated. I may be able to save the $40 on my hard drive because I already have one exactly like it, but it's been running kind of hot so I need to find out if that's normal.

Seems like a fantastic deal in my eyes - especially with the 3 year warranty, plus the 1070 is the EVGA FTW which is a great card by all accounts.

I'd do some more research on if the radiator for your H100i water cooler would fit in a mini ITX case. The radiator is 275mm wide, meaning it's a little wider than the width of 2 120mm fans, so you need exterior venting in your case that supports 2 side-by-side 120mm fans + another inch or so of width. Looks like this:

Absolutely has to be mounted to exterior venting on your case, or it won't cool properly.

It can get a little tight on space even in a mid-tower case(I bought a full tower when I built a PC with an H100i)

Here's a typical mid-tower for spacing:

It should be able to, it's the same one as featured in this video:
