This depends really on what you consider noticeable. There can be over a 30fps diff depending on setup and ram. Alot of variables to consider but there is a stark difference between when ddr5 came out vs where it is now. Even among ddr5 vs ddr5 you can find fps vids to show differences between them. It may not make a huge difference depending on what resolution your rendering tho.

and i use ddr5 9000 till the 10k sticks come out, but can you use a 9800x3d on ddr4 at the moment? idr its been a while since i touched ddr4

What I meant to say if the only reason to upgrade was to go from ddr4 to DDR5 then it's not worth it. If you're doing a new build there is no reason to use am4 or ddr4

My guess is the processor supports ddr4 but no reason to do that

Trying to cheap out on a GPU by $30 will never make sense to me. If your budget is that tight, you probably aren't ready to upgrade. Especially if you're resorting to shady sellers and "open box" items.

i coulda bought a lianli 217 for $20 less from amazon resale but thats a huge case and a window too, what if the glass was shattered or one side had a dent in it and it's from lian li, they could have just taken the "goodies" organizer for screws and stuff and i wouldn't know.

I think AM4 can still make sense if you get the 5700X3D or 5800X3D, the price/performance is hard to beat. Built a system with it earlier this year and the cpu, mainboard and ram cost less than just the cpu for an AM5 X3D build.

Difference isn't huge and is largest at 1080 with lower graphics settings, if you go 1440 or higher they lessen or disappear completely since you almost always become GPU bound at that point. If you can fit a higher tier of GPU into your budget by going AM4, you may end up with better overall performance.

I've been getting a lot of notifications for things that are "on sale" but priced higher than normal msrp.

June: Sony Soundbar $99 normal price

July Sale: Sony Soundbar $149 $109 !!!
it's like using the buffet strategy for these amazon sales, that soundbar is like get a plate of noodles, trash. you gotta go for the crablegs when the 9800x3d goes for $50 off

Quick sanity check.
Haven't done a build from the ground up in well over a decade and besides a new GPU around Xmas, have no plans on upgrading for at least 6-10 years. Went from mapping out a cheap build to being a whore for aesthetic once I picked the Havn case.

Mobo, case, cpu already acquired.

Been stuck in case fan and aio selection hell for a bit now. Have it narrowed down to Be Quiet Light Wings, and replacing the AIO fans with the same to keep the look uniform, or going with a full corsair build regardless of fan noise to accomplish the same. Potentially even going as far as their custom cooling kit solutions. Trying to minimize the potential ARGB issues I see so many deal with when mix matching. Not a fan of the look of the Lian Li stuff, save for that cool infinity mirroring on the side.

Also considering installing a 14" touchscreen to make it extra saucy instead of an LCD AIO.

Suggestions or improvements before I pull the trigger?

Thanks as always gents.

Only comment I have is if you go with Corsair you have to use their iCue garbage software and it's a mess (or it was the last time I used it).

note
bequiet has a lightwings version of their aio too
be quiet! Light Loop 360mm | All in One Water Cooling System | Customizable ARGB CPU Cooler with Hub | Quiet Water Cooler | Black | BW022

it is only 360mm, if you were looking for 420mm, bequiet doesn't have

there is a non rgb (you could just replace the fans w/ the lightwings) 420mm arctic freezer 3 pro now
ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 420 - AIO CPU Cooler, 3 x 140 mm Water Cooling, 38 mm Radiator, PWM Pump, VRM Fan, AMD AM5/AM4, Intel LGA1851/1770 Contact Frame - Black

That's a much simpler solution, and gets me to 420mm. Thanks dude.

the drawback for you about the freezer 3 is that the heatsink isn't lighted and has no bling bling, but the trade off is, there is a fan that actually cools stuff around it

you don't need that much bling
