I currently have an RTX 3070 powering my 4k 42" lg.. it performs pretty well in the games that I play, but if I wanted to max out Cyberpunk at 4k, what video card would I have to upgrade to?

Well, I ended up getting an Asus 5070 ti. I really wanted the Gigabyte gaming version but that thing is a monster 13-14" card.. would slam into the fans at the front of my case. I didn't want to move those fans to the top as they're for my liquid cooler.

Hopefully this card is good for 4k.

Have the Asus ROG 4090. Just sitting the card in the case like a normal card was blocking ventilation big time. I ended up doing an extension and having the card vent directly outside of the case. Dropped the entire build down an average 12 degrees and thats with 10 fans (not including the three on the card itself).

Not at home to show the new position but it sat in the regular slot for months before i changed it up. Switching from the 13900 to the 14900 made me change it all up because of the heat. But you can see where it eventually ended up on the back there.

After having the “best of the best” that even rivals the new shit - Ive learned one thing. 98.99% of games are optimized like complete garbage. Thats great that I can play WOW on ultra at 240 fps. But i didn't buy the card for a 20 year old game.

Whats worse? I think developers are letting these bloated PoS’s out the door because they think frame generation will shore up their inadequacies. So theres like no hope on games coming out without them running like shit. Hell, it took CP2077 how long before it wasnt chugging down 600 watts to put out 70 fps? 🙄

I thought this pic was upside down but then I saw the floor.. very interesting, never seen a case with components laid out like this.

Yea the 5070 ti isn't something I really needed that much, more because I have a bunch of cash sitting around and figured why not. Big upgrade coming from a 3070.

We are going to get it from both ends. Game devs will lean on FG to counter-act poor optimization, and GPU makers will use FG to reduce GPU die size and thus native performance. .

Commented in the nvidea thread, but looking for more input. I have a 3080 aorus that's kinda gay. (Funny issues here and there currently ok, but recently seemed to die, appeared not to be installed and a clean install of drivers seemed to fix, was after I had played the night before, no updates or restarts just poof

I was loosely planning on getting a 6 series card when they come or an AMD offering because fuck nvidea politically. But... with current hikes on the horizon I'm debating if I just grab what I can now and hope that lasts me 5 years or so. I'm super unfamiliar with AMD cards but I'm open to making that jump.

I quickly forget what I researched in the past. What would some bang to value options be as poor as they are in this market. Like can I even find a 3090ti, does a 4070 ti even really come ahead by much? I dont want to be limited to 10gb like I was here, if I broke down on a 5 series I was hoping for a 5080 super refresh which looks unlikely now, is the 5080 my best play? I'm still nervous about it melting, heard of some, but obviously a bigger issue possibly with 5090's. I've had bad luck w/ this rid all around so a bit gunshy on that.
