Well, there will be price cuts but I don't know that they will qualify as "big".Do you guys think there will be big price cuts on the 700 series once Nvidia releases their 800 series?
Good point. I'll start the process of relocating most of my Steam games. You don't put your games on the SSD. Put your os on it and your games/steam on your platter drive. If you have one or two games you play over and over those can be installed on the SSD.
Games don't tend to load much faster off an SSD. Anandtech or some other website did a bunch of testing and found that load times decreased by single digit percentages. Mostly what people talk about with an SSD is how fast your OS boots up, and how quickly programs load, especially when multi-tasking. And really, it's not the transition from platter disk to SSD that you notice so much. It's when you go back to a PC with a platter drive that you think "why the fuck is this piece of shit so slow?"Good point. I'll start the process of relocating most of my Steam games.![]()
I didn't realize that having the OS on the SSD was the main point, and the rest really didn't have to be.
that could be pretty pimp if it works like they say.SSD in your motherboards memory slots?

Yep, that's pretty much what I'll do. Symbiotic links are great!Just use Steam mover to move the games you actually are playing to SSD and when you're done move them back?
