I don't see how they bring her back and not have it be another bullshit League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comic book season.
Id rather Clyde prove he can write a normal run of the mill season of Dexter without leaning on capeshit. But I guess this needs to appeal to modern audiences, or it wouldn't have got greenlit. No Gen Z views will get any project killed regardless of network.

Michael C. Hall previously turned down returning to the role for many years over copycats throughout the late 2000's and 2010's.
He said if he returned he wants to see Dexter face consequences, some of which has already been written into the New Blood revival.
If these start up again Michael C. Hall could bow out considering his previous stance when Showtime approached him to reprise the role over 10 years ago.
