I believe they added WASD controls this season so im curious how that'll play out, my one gripe is after the one good thing POE2 did was going back to point and click ARPG gameplay so hopefully it's a decent implementation

They added WASD and also added controller support.

As for what to play, throw barb got a bunch of indirect buffs via throwing weapon sockets and affix changes.

Every single Assassin build is crazy strong. And you can play a summon assassin now with the changes to Natalyas set + the new war fist unique.

Paladins are back to being probably the worst class overall.

Oh yeah damn those throwing weapon changes are sick. I'm mostly debating between a barb or necro, i've wanted to play a WW bleed barb for a few seasons now so i might end up doing that

Shadow summoner sounds cool with the rework

Necros are great, I've played Clays, Bloods, Mages, and Bonecaster. Dark Pact is pretty nutty if you never want to kill a boss and like hitting buttons.

Paladin charge shit was really OP once they fixed desync, but I'm pretty sure itll be pretty nasty when geared still. Just a bit less.

Throw Barb will either be mid tier or shit, I'd guess. I'd like them to be better, but I'm not sure it's going to work out how we all hope. LOVE to be wrong though.

If you want to farm Trav/T1's for a bit to get money, Clay Golem Necro is about as easy as it gets. Can also do Ubers with like +10 skills.

Throw barb will be one of the best bossers and will be very good in maps as well.

They made Cruel and Visceral affixes more frequent and I think you are severely underestimating how much enhanced damage you can get from 2-3 sockets. They also buffed Frenzy duration and Grim Ward. The latter of which was already probably too strong.

Haven't played since the first couple of ladders, looking to dip my toes back in for the reset, game seems to be a lot less popular now as expected.

For some reason I keep coming back to the old games, most played games in my life would hands down be D2, EQ and WoT.

havent played since sunder charms and mosiac? def should try... mosiac kinda lame for ladder since thats what everyone does... but sunders have been fun for being able to play less meta builds

Last patch notes update stream tonight at 7pm eastern then closed beta for the next season goes live. I'm in the CB and will be testing a bunch of stuff and maybe posting some vids.

Once again if you like ARPGs and liked D2 back in the day this is a modernized D2 experience with tons of QoL improvements and new systems, mostly inspired by path of exile.
