Distance learning systems

So, at work we've been using a locally made computer program for distance learning. It records the voice and whatever happens on the computer screen. The program then uploads it to a server and you can view it via a web page. The only problem is, is that the program is no longer maintained properly by the developer, and the website requires Silverlight, which is all but dead. So, we need to find a new one.

Does anyone have any experience in these programs, either as a user (student) or provider (teacher)? Or can recommend programs to try out, or to avoid?
