Odd, the time I tried I thought it broke. And it looked as if it broke when I've played against him in other games.
Can mouse wheel as mentionned, but it'll still be closed, it's something the genre always does, by forcing you to be fairly close it reinforces map awareness, good camera control and stuff. Especially in dota where abilities often have longer range than half your screen, so if you play with your view centered on your hero you can get hit by stuff "off screen".
Glad to hear you're having fun, game is great. If you like playing the support role, I personally find playing support in dota much more enjoyable than league.Just had my first game of Dota 2 against real people heh. Been practicing against the bots for awhile now and finally decided to try the real thing. Shit loads of fun. Found it FAR more enjoyable than LoL.
Been playing Crystal Maiden for support. Seems pretty solid so far. At least against noobs.
Skeleton King is being replaced by Wraith King. Between this and cleaning up Pudge, I'm guessing they are slowly modifying DOTA2 to be more China compliant (since they have some taboo re: skeletons). Blizzard had to redo massive parts of WOTLK in China because of that.
I might hit up the rerolled guild soon. Currently at Puck on my A-Z challenge vs the computer. Just need to work on my courier control and map awareness and I should be pretty comfortable playing real people with out being a complete burden on my team.
I hear you that real ppl vs comp is night and day but I'm kind of enjoying it right now. Right after the game starts I pause the game for 4-5 minutes, pull up a guide, read up on abilities, item progression, sometimes read a wiki page for more info if it's a character I feel like I just don't understand etc . I'm about 2/3s of the way through so I think I'm just gonna power through the rest of them.
You know the pudge one was gay. Also China has a law against time travel so expect Weaver to get a huge nerf. /sarcasm
