Is the formula feeding Pudge or something for the str gain and massive damage? The couple of games I played, some Brazillians kept shouting in Portuguese "blah blah blah blah Pudge 150!" "you feed pudge!" "you stupid stop killing pudge!" in between a lot of shit I couldn't understand. No one was going along with it and they were getting pissed and kept spamming it.

I imagine they weren't in beta for the most part, just a bunch of 13-year olds who had people holding it over their heads telling them how great it was last year.

I seem to recall reading that was fixed last year. Some people spent hours feeding Pudge kills so he could one-hit Roash.

P3 resets flesh heap to 1 now. Took them only about a year to realize how stupid that strat was. I don't really have any problem with Diretide, but when the best strat to reach HoF consists of 2 premade teams meeting randomly and doing nothing that resembles normal match for the whole game, your design is shit.

Team Empire rolled Navi fairly easily in game 1 of some LAN event finals in Russia, was nice to watch as I wasn't too familiar with them before.

They've just drafted Abbadon and Viper in game 2 so should be interesting

After some tinkering with crafting, I think spending items on it qualifies is insanity. Even if you have like 30% winrate on dota2lounge, you are still doing better than crafting. Unless you have a recipe for otherwise unobtainable item, like the ones sold with mechandise, you are just losing money. Crafting from essences is still fine though.

I hope the people who made such a huge stink over Diretide being missing are happy with themselves. I've played it 5 or 6 times now and I'm already bored of it. I guess it might be a bit more fun with an organized group seeing how far you can go, though, but from a pub player perspective, the whole thing is meh.

Yeah it's really terrible. These events have always been about organized groups breaking the game and getting rewards for it, it's not that fun for everyone else.

not to mentioned the servers have been fucked ever since

Never really understood the whole "I don't like it so it shouldn't exist" attitude. It was something that was stated to be annual and the rest of the currently updated Valve games received a Halloween patch, would only make sense for Dota to also get one.
