LD? He and Godz are great imo. I like Tobi, but I found as I watched more casts its pretty clear he's not an expert. Merlini (caster & former pro)commentedon it in a Team Liquid interview.Yea he is easily my favorite. Tobi is probably the best caster, clicks on the right heros, keeps up with the action, rarely misses a good fight; but GD is by far the funniest most interesting person.
My least favorite caster is the BTS neckbeard guy whos name is always escaping me. Not lumi, not godz... Fuck it. He just says the dumbest shit of all time. Never backs anything up. Recently he admitted to having a horrible leave record so yea, he's that guy.
I think Navi has definitely earned the limelight, but I wouldn't say they're alone. SPG from MLG showed that creativity is out there. I just don't think the community supports that type of play at large (ie for public play) which might keep it rare and limited.Caught up on dreamhack finals, I got bored of Alliance's "perfect" rat dota, teamfights and strats eventually, but Navi are still the best entertainment Dota2 can offer. It makes me shake my head when it doesn't work, but when it works...
Well, it depends, Alliance also brought a lot of different strats in the past 6 months, it's just that they fell back on the rat doto to be more consistent. Navi just dies. Although trained eye can probably see their killing sprees coming like a minute before they actually start rolling through the other team with acquisition of key items and so on, it looks much more impressive to the laymen, like me.I think Navi has definitely earned the limelight, but I wouldn't say they're alone. Clinkz were getting daggers a long time ago... I remember Merlini in MyM doing it in 6.30, probably even farther... It's only new to most people because clinkz was NEVER picked due to searing arrow not going through bkb hence making clinkz an extremely weak carry late game that didnt bring much to the table if he didnt snowball dominate the first 20 minutes. 6.79 clinkz makes it back to pro scene, and along with it the dagger build. It was an impressive show of it in a finals, but not something new by any means.Well, it depends, Alliance also brought a lot of different strats in the past 6 months, it's just that they fell back on the rat doto to be more consistent. There's also a big difference between getting an advantage straight up by killing the other guys, or relying on something rare and difficult to predict, like lvl 1 rosh or the veno wards denying. Yes, you do what you can to win, but it still doesn't look that good. If you show that you can get an unusual item and use it in a way nobody thought of before in a comp game, you also get huge applause, like the blinkz from EE.
Hyperion FlaxI'm a fan of Hyperion Flax (sp?) he reminds me of a Karl Pilkington in terms of casters and the Spanish guy, Bruno.
FoH or Rerolled? The people in the group channel get groups together pretty frequently, albeit with the same people repeatedly generally. How often do people in foh channel play with each other? There were 6 people seemingly afk in there for an hour tonight.
