Jumped up to 3025 rating today! Was at like 2790 something to start earlier this week.
I'm 2 and 0 playing alch support now, pretty fun. I'm glad you all were talking about it or I'd never thought to try it. Last game I didn't even know what to spend all the gold I had on, slots were filled (minus one for scroll,) and I ended up with 8k to spare at the end. It was an asswhooping game, though, we dominated bad, so the gold was pouring in faster than I could bother to buy anything. Still, that ult is so damn nice with the regen, and I was setting up stun after stun. I only had ever played alch a time or two in the past as a carry, and sucked at it, trying to time the stuns while attacking, etcetera. But hanging in the back and stunning is way easier.

if youre serious about your ranking then only play heroes you're good with. Use regular MM for trying new shit

Yeah, I'm 18 wins / 10 losses at ranked, by the looks of things. I've only been playing a few months, so I stick to supports. I've done okay at carries a few times, but I never seem to be aggressive enough, resulting in more losses. Supports allow me to hang back and not be so aggressive yet still do well overall. I have anywhere from 60 to 80+ percent win rates as supports. Just in the past week I've risen from ~2700 to almost 3100 now.

I usually only play 7 or 8 heroes and of those only np puck and clock arnt supports. Its more other lanes feed horribly or we get a rambo or 2 that try to solo the other team or pick bad fights like by radiant ancients when the other team has veno or tide or any big teamfight ult. I was playing np in 2 separate games where our supports didnt buy any detection to off set a riki until they both got aghs ( the 2nd game I bought sentries and tried to do it but failed) . I usually to figure out what I could do better but sometimes I feel like I need to learn how to take a game over

I don't think CD at 2600 is any better than AP, just different ways to see incompetence played out. Unless you are quick on hitting the button to be captain more often than not you'll get a jackass that won't say anything and just pick whatever he wants whether you can play it or not. Not that I didn't deserve to be where I am with some 100's of shit games, just amazed that I somehow continue to sign up for this punishment. I mean, seeing a captain ban Huskar is just wtf and that's just the most recent example.

he missed that a hero has to have a damage over time effect on them in order to be denied.

Battlehunger does not make it impossible to deny. It's just a DOT you can't deny with.
If your ally is Battlehungered & Doomed you can deny him.

I thought that being 3700+ mmr would afford me a reprieve from griefers and terrible players, but I was wrong. Almost half of the 10 or so games I've played over the last two days have had one or more people that intentionally pick poorly, feed the other team, hide items from the courier, and just generally grief their own team in some fashion. I just don't get it.
wow, what the fuck is wrong with that kid, and people still play that league after ixmike got booted from TL? I kinda felt that was the only drawing point.
