Just watched Dracula Untold. Shame there was never a sequal as indicated by the ending. I hope this one is good.

Yeah the end was a great setup and I loved it.

I loved the movie as a whole, the lore and adjustments to make it different etc etc all very well done. Even the production and all that seemed great to me.

It was definitely kind of a video gamey type movie, but I remember it being pretty fun. I think I've only ever seen it once but maybe I'll go ahead and rewatch it.

What is funny is the sunlight thing, it didn’t kill him- he just was not powerful and was weakened or such- many will use the excuse that he just came out of his big rejuvenation from the voyage on the Demeter - so he was super refreshed and could walk in the sun some, or whatever.
I have to re read Dracula again (one of my favorite books) but wasnt it Nosferratu that created the sunlight kills the vampire idea? I'm not sure where that started

I hope this is good, but a love story....fuck. Dracula is supposed to be pure unadulterated evil. Like every bad male trait personified: lust, ego, greed, passion, dominance, gluttony, etc. They keep making him a victim or someone who we should feel sorry for, where the original Dracula was just horrible. Keeping an open mind but after Frankenstein.......

Yeah, Nosferatu was what created the idea of vampires are killed by the sun.

Like Frankenstein, I think I have a very different perspective for vampires.
Granted, I grew up with Christopher Lee movies before I ever read the book. I see the "vampire" as the Man who knows exactly what he wants, and Women helpless against their desire for it (to be penetrated). Garlic? Yea, who wants a woman with garlic breath. lol

As for Sunlight... what we want happens in the dark. :)

I know I've seen a bunch of the Christopher Lee Hammer films, but the first thing that popped into my mind was the secret song off of the Lords of acid album. That was classic 90's awesome. Crazy Germans.
