A Message From Mark Darrah & Matthew Goldman – The Dread Wolf Rises
by Author -Mark DarrahPosted on - December 6, 2018

Hey everyone,
We have been working on a new Dragon Age™ game for quite a while now and I am pleased to finally tease the existence of this project!
While we won’t be sharing any details for now, I can tell you we have been building a new team around a core of Dragon Age veterans, people I’ve worked with on Dragon Age, Jade Empire™, and some of whom I’ve worked with since the Baldur’s Gate days.
While I have been focused on Anthem™, the rest of the team has been hard at work exploring ways to push BioWare’s storytelling to the next level.
I’m so excited to show you more!
Mark Darrah, Executive Producer

Making players into heroes of their own stories has been my real-life quest since Baldur’s Gate.
Over the years I’ve taken on increasing challenges: building vast living worlds, devising fun party-based combat and illustrating fantastic stories. Now, I’m honored and excited to continue BioWare’s rich legacy of colorful companions, romance and epic choices in my favorite fantasy franchise.
We’ve gathered our strongest team yet and are venturing forth on the most epic quest ever!
Matthew Goldman, Creative Director

Dragon Age: Limp Dick Lowers

The first thing we hear about it is that it will celebrate diversity and be political. Not that it will be a good game, well written, or bring something new to the table, just that it's going to be more pandering bullshit.

Just going to watch someone else play it on youtube or something.

Basically, this means that you’re looking at another Mass Effect: Andromeda or Dragon Age: Inquisition in the works.
I absolutely loved DA:Inquisition but maybe I didn't pay enough attention to the story to realize it was some SJW shenanigans. I just killed stuff and had a ton of fun with it. But now I feel dirty...

DA:I was beautiful but the combat was button smashing lameness. I finished the entire game not understanding how the magic bar worked or using a single potion.

Considering the elf girl was gay, the mage was gay, and the bull dude was bi, it was pretty obvious how SJW the story was.

All the balding fat white D&D nerds have aged out of the writing work bracket, all you've got are young SJWs now. The only Dragons you're gonna slay here are Intolerance and Wrongthink.

I hated DA:I, this one will be a pass for sure. I don't know why they can't understand that people play games to escape the exact shit you're making this game about.

I liked Inquisition. Didn't really find it overly SJWish, I can only really think of one part that was overly preachy and that was a couple of lines of dialog from a side thing.

I beat DA:I 3 times, story is garbage, romances are garbage, gay guy is a walking stereotype, all the women are fugly and they won't let you romance the elf girl. Mostly had fun breaking the game with daggers and the dlc was good. (oh and please get rid of that fucking stupid table mini game)

Having them come out and directly say this kind of woke nonsense is a huge turnoff. Just make a game and talk about how you're making a great game, stop the retard virtue signaling. Feels like an insulting stunt honestly, but that's being way too hopeful.

Bean counters must have seen all the free pub that screenshot for Farcry has been getting and this guy said, hold my venti latte macchiato.

What bums me out is that despite all of Inq's problems, I rather liked the stuff with Solas and I was interested in seeing where it's going. That they are clearly basing the next game around him but also going full retard at the same time is just a gut punch.

I loved DA:I .- didnt care about anything else but the fact it was gorgeous and i had fun going through it - they could have added 30 more gay couples or trannys and id still play it - who gives a fuck. Tho i really do wish theyd stop AIMING to add such things in and focus on core gameplay mechanics and story - if they fuck up DA like they did ME then Bioware would be dead to me.

I don't know that they're going full retard, I think they'd have said the same thing about DA:I had it been released today, probably. It had gays and lesbians and even a trans character that talked to you about it for no reason. But ultimately most of it was ignorable, yeah the gay guy would hit on you at some point and you had to tell him to fuck off and sometimes cause the whole romance shit was coded like garbage, you had to tell him again and again and tell ugly girl the same too and such, but at the end of the day the game itself wasn't about that. I mean, not the LGBTQXL SJW shit. The main story is still about opression, slavery, racism and all that shit, that's been true since DA1 and honestly is a staple of most fantasy games. The Witcher is rife with racism themes, just instead of people being black, it's people being faggot elves or smelly dwarves instead of the obviously superior humans(AVERAGE IN ALL STATS BABY WHOOHOOO).

Honestly I'll just wait to see what's up. I don't care for the virtue signaling shit, but I don't care both ways, it's stupid but won't prevent me from buying a game if it's good. Now DA:I was borderline in my book, it was, ok, I'd say, so I'm not super excited about another DA and who knows if it'll be any good. But hell at this point I'd say the main concern is not how SJW the game will be or if it'll be good, but if it'll be released at all if Anthem flops.

It's not a bad game. It's weak when compared to classic Bioware games, but overall it's not bad. Looks great and has some competent gameplay elements to it. The story is engaging enough and has some nice twists to it. Its biggest weakness is that the companions are boring as fuck with a few exceptions. It's sure as fuck better than DA:2 was.

If DA:I didn't have fagotty characters and faceroll combat it could have been one of the best RPG's in a very long time. Graphics were amazing, environments were great, classes were well done, and the castle mechanics were very interesting. Unfortunately even on hard difficulty you could basically afk combat and by 2/3 of the way through I was basically playing to finish it.

Playing divinity right now and though graphics can't hold a candle to DA, it's far more fun and challenging to play.

Also characteristically SJW by making the assumption that all LGBT characters should be portrayed as one-dimensional camp stereotypes and the entire point of their character is to act as thinly-veiled social allegory. Dorian was fucking horrible.

Why can't these big studios just make good CRPGs? It's all so hamfisted. I'll never forget the time I just uninstalled Baldur's Gate remaster (BG series remains my favorite game of all time along with PS:T). Why?

Get to the first pub and some skank talks to you. Gets in your face and asks you if you think her name is strange (game full of elfs, dwarfs, gnomes and shit with stupid names). Then tells you she's a tranny in the same fucking game where Edwin gets transmogged into a woman via a magical item. Which was hilarious because Edwin was a prissy narcisstic faggot anyway and him being salty about being a woman and wrong was just good story writing.

Sex change cursed items aren't even uncommon in DnD. So you're literally hamfisting trannies into a world where being a tranny isn't possible or even a minor inconvenience.

The brief time I spent in DA:I was so unmemorable the only thing I remember was the weird apparition NPC saying, "YOU CAN'T HURT ME" when he jumped outta stealth and planted two giant daggers deep into whatever the fuck could now be looted. He reminded me:
and was so OP I figured only a true faggot could play a dagger class.
I beat DA:I 3 times
...Mostly had fun breaking the game with daggers
Oh what a fucking surprise.

But as someone who absolutely loved DA:O and was pumped for what would follow I couldn't pass on this harder unless it was named Andromeda.
