im having a mtn.dew on the rocks tonight

Two words:

Pimm's cup.

I make mine a little differently from the standard recipe.

1 half inch thick slice of cucumber, gently muddled in an old fashioned glass
6-7 good splashes of lemon bitters (I don't know why, but for some reason bitters tastes better than fresh lemons in this drink)
Fill glass with ice
2 parts Pimm's No. 1
3 parts champagne (Not soda water, as the traditional recipe calls for)
Add a sprig of mint that has been gently expressed

Perfect summer drink.

Pimm's Cup is one of my favorites. Always my go-to at a cocktail bar that has its own twist on one.

I had a few beers during a lengthy Friday lunch break. Good times.
