You need to find EQ:OA frontiers ISO on your own (not hard)

and unzip/drop a ps2 BIOS zip (also not hard to find) in your folder like this:

I bought a PS2 network adapter specifically for this game, but playing with a controller was annoying and I was still addicted to EQ, so I didn't get far. Was there an actual endgame or anything that make it worth playing 20 years later?

I played this on PS2 because I was young and my PC had gotten too old which had forced me to quit EQ. Was definitely a worse version of EQ, but still had some charms about it. It's the only community from the early days of mmo's that I still have friends from who have kept in contact with me over the 20 some odd years since we played. Very interesting community to say the least. My guilds forum had a section that allowed all out flame wars against other guild members. Just constant drama. I dunno how the guild ended up lasting for nearly 2 years.

There was an end game, but after the first expansion released the dev team was down to like 3 people and content was super sparse after the expansion. There were like 5 or 6 end game raid zones from what I can remember. Plane of Sky was pretty cool and Solusek's Eye was probably my favorite raid zone.

I've got a couple of low level characters on this. But unless the've done a full wipe, the low level grind is fucked.

Anywho, you can 2box with one PS2 emulator pointed at each USB port. Maybe you can do more.

Not just 2box but couch co-op if you got any pals or family interested around. Pretty kew.

EQ is actually fun on the controller too. Little bit of awkwardness but worth overcoming. We are having a ball.
