The boxing rules have felt like a scam for a long time. Joe EQPlayer breaks the rules and eats suspensions meanwhile larger crews do whatever they want in plain sight with no consequences. It's like the boxing restrictions only exist to make sure the big RMT crews have a market to sell loot and PLs to.

I will be curious to see how well 2-box is enforced, and if it helps or hurts the population. It appeals to a certain crowd. I would be more likely to play if it at least curtails the obnoxious early PL'ing that I saw on Teek. I was surprised at how brazen and invasive these turds had become. 1-ish week into launch they were pulling entire picks of Sol A and I couldn't go 10 minutes without getting trained.
The PLers I encountered on Mischief went out of their way to not cause trouble. Completely taking over popular leveling zones at launch is fucking ridiculous.

The stigma of being powerleveled is gone, as more people embrace it more crews pop up to meet the demand.
Most people are sick of grinding for days in pick up groups with random whining about loot rolls, ninja AFKing etc.

Really cause most the AE PL groups on Teek spam 24/7 because they can't fill their grps. The market is really saturated. Public chat channels are unusable.

The plvlers spammed because there was a lot of competition. There was a lot of competition because there was a lot of demand. Many people dont enjoy leveling and just want to be max to raid or farm, and most if not nearly all people dont enjoy it a 2nd+ time for an alt.

as a footnote while the difference between 2.5 and 2.56 looks tiny in practice you get less exp per kill with 5 than you do for 6. Always fill out.
The way leveling currently works on TLPs the difference between soloing (or a shit group) and a solid group is so huge that everyone competent is priced in to launch premades. Often that extends to premades/friend circles helping each other level alts. That takes most of the decent players and permanetly removes them from the LFG pool. Not all of the remaining players are bad but pick up groups struggle to have a good comp. Lots of healer/mediocre melee affairs. Launches and fresh unlocks that include level increases are pretty forgiving as tons of people are out leveling but if you are trying to level alone outside those windows it's rough. I'd rather not ever pay for a PL but the time/cost ratio is so absurdly out of whack that it's a always a temptation.

The PL situation also feeds itself by taking over all the good levelling spots. On Teek you had crews in SolA, SolB, Guk, even Mistmoore. Either risk joining a pug that can't even find an open spot to camp or pay for a PL, I see why a lot of people say fuck it and drop $100 on krono and get it out of the way.
If EQ wanted to really do something about it they could make private instances of zones available. It turns into that game later on anyway.

Just make leveling a total joke. Stop making it take literal days of your life to grind this shit.
Or buff lower zems, buff raid xp, let people grind xp while not directly xp grinding.
The idea of mischief where loot is abundant and people can fuck around would be fantastic if done in reverse where xp flows and people dont have to shit themselves trying to get top zem camps or 6person xp bonuses.

Nah i've bought PLs for alts. They can't fill grps with customers even after they've all dropped prices, easily 3x the supply as the demand on Teek.
Guild situation probably even more dire than it first appeared.
Dude that was going to vacuum up all the people and form some kind of mega guild failed to get double figures worth of people in his discord, so he joined Kidd's guild and seems to be aggressively trying to take that one over.
The guild Goburs made is riddled with RI guys so either they take over or there will be a repeat of Oakwynd where they get the shits after a couple of raids and split off to form a new guild.
And one of the other major guilds is led by Grok....poor guys who join that one gonna find out.
There may be an EU guild and a single PST guild too but don't know much about those guys.

Given the quality of the gear the sweatiest guild is going to be in there grinding their face in to AoW's nutsack every respawn. The gear is just too good even if the fight itself blows. Tormax spawns pretty fast so I'm thinking you're just going be in Kael constantly.
Something else to keep in mind is that if you're stubborn you can duo/trio a lot of shit. Sev, Feydedar, Talendor, Woushi, Harla Dar and some of the other WW dragons, Rumblecrush, a bunch of epic fights, etc. Again, it's not a good time or anything, but if you and a friend or two are willing to spend the time they'll go down. You can't bind in Fear or Sol B anymore so that's out. I haven't looked closely but I'm sure that there are going to be camps where immediately after the launch it makes more sense for farming loot/cash per hour calculations to bind rush than do it normally unless you've got a crew. Vaniki had universal double loot and a small playerbase so the pressure to optimize bind rushing for profit wasn't really there. Fangabang could see some really degenerate shit. The combination of a Luclin start with level caps and no bonus loot is a lot of incentive.
