They raised the server pop limit a few years ago (when Teek launched IIRC). I think Teek peaked at over 6k. I can't remember how long the queue lasted on Teek, but I don't think it was very long. Aradune is the last server I remember having miserably long queues. Back then the server cap was around 4k I think? Then maybe got raised to 4500 at some point before Teek.
That said, Frostreaver peaking at around 4700 isn't breaking any records. Not great, not terrible. Obviously less popular than Teek.

The amount of 6 boxers I saw inflates it for sure. But seems pretty decent. The story will be 2 months in and you still got 2.5 months to go of velious. Hell I figure you could log in that 4th month of velious, find some extremely cheap raid gear and then go to town right from level 1 with it(since no required levels on gear, just recc) and easily be ready for luclin in those 2 weeks. Same with luclin to pop(avoiding VT).
The real picture will come to see if it last post PoP, when most seem to quit and when the server really kicks off imo(8 weeks for everything, more expansions tied together like dodh/por). A lot of that depends on their 2027 offering(as I dont expect to the TSS start one to garner too many) and if any other big games kick off(say gta6). Also if that legends things actually becomes something, hard to tell based off this forum with so many hating it just because who is helping develop it.

Looks like Daybreak snuck in ultrawide support btw. True 21:9 looks normal now. Before it was just a stretched out 16:9.

I got to level 5 and realized: I just can't do the "TLP Grind" anymore. Logged out. (Having actual fun in Ascendant so why do the TLP grind ... again ... and again ....)

Been having fun with a pal each 2-boxing very inefficiently. Currently grinding gorge hounds at 19. Its terrible xp compared to real zones but live rates make it endurable and we're doing stuff we want to do. Buddy never done TLP before so don't mind just hitting stuff he wants to see. Granted we could be prob 30-40 with the playtime we've had in good zones lol but its been fun. Great server to not be in a rush on

I did like 12 hours launch with my enc but didnt bring my box. Gonna get my ranger and cleric caught up this weekend.
I can say its 100% worth it to follow the exp zones, I stuck it out in guk for a bunch of levels went real slow, got lucky and was in an exp zone when it switched and got more levels in a few hours of exp zone than I did the rest of the day. So gonna just follow them around to catch my boxes up.

Lol. I still play on Teek, I want to see later expansions and its jarring going from later eq with all the QoL back to originals. Like I said though I could probably do it, but Just have to space TLPs at least 4 years apart, usually more. I just did all this it feels like, so I think that's what made it worse.
But I do agree, I play plenty of other games at the same time. Keeps me from burning out. For me I just just sit and play eq every day. Those days are long gone. Log in to raid 2 days week, sprinkle in times to do a lesson burn or work on reps/other shit and that's that.

Grouping with derps in a hodgepodge of zones chasing bonuses and having it yield loot and exp is nice. It's a lot of the parts of the game that I like without any hassle. The exp and related bonuses are good enough that all the pressure to play meta classes in standard camps is gone. Genociding blues with trash melee classes fills the bar just fine.

following exp zones is definitely the way to go, even killing LBs there give's you like ~3% a kill. I did 40-47 pretty quickly on mostly LBs and some DBs in dreadlands today
once im done farming another guise im gonna try wakening lands again since its apparently an exp zone as well
edit: random loot can be gay as hell, i think i sat at ass/sup for like 8 hours and got 1 mask on the first kill, never saw another assassin loot afterwards

There isn't really a guise camp w/ random loot if it still operates like Mischief. I got one inside the MM castle on Mischief. Just need to hunt classic rares around lvl 35. MM, Sol A, etc.
With free trade + random loot enabled, you will probably end up buying them.

I’m to level 15 made an erudite SK and have been doing a solo self found thing. Not hardcore. Not even really doing much on purpose just been soloing in the warrens and trading teeth for ringmaik armor.
