Kilwa is pretty fun if you do. They are a surprisingly rich nation which helps level the playing field against Europe if you do colonial. Stuff like their tree pushes.
Impressive colonialism in China/Indonesia on that difficulty level but I can't give you the win with so much kebab on your own continent!Won the Kilwa game on Very Hard with 7000+ dev in 1750 with ottomans in 2nd place with 4900 dev
Not a whole lot changed. Just kept expanding trade, keeping military as updated as possible and grinding up towards Bengal, China and Korea. The only thing I had to do differently this game is take a lot more military ideas to keep up with AI players. I ended up taking Plutocratic, Offensive, Quantity, Quality, and I had one more Idea Set left to pick and I would have gone with Defensive if it would have allowed me. Also, had to constantly drill units and rotate generals
Didnt take as much of the map as usual, wars are a lot harder on VH, every great power has a 1M+ man army by 1750.
Fun game but I'm glad to be done with it for the next 1-2 years

Considering firing this up again though.

Yeah, all indications are that there will be no more expansions but nothing has officially been said.Have they stopped developing expansions for EU4? Winds of Change(1.37) was May 8th, 2024 and it looks like EU5 is "soon". I've always held off on purchasing many of the expansion packs because the handful of recent ones are almost never significantly discounted and new content was imminent. But if the latter is no longer the case, ~$80 doesn't seem so bad to do some achievement hunting. And I'm dreadfully bored, thanks PoE2.
I recently did a massive campaign where I formed 75+ tags and did nearly 1500 missions. I tell myself that was my magnum opus and I'm done but... There's a little itch creeping back.I have the itch to play again 3 months later
