It's also obvious he played it all of about 1 week, with the way he describes the systems.

"It wasn't social enough!!!! Reeeeee!!!". Uhhh....no shit? That was the entire fucking reason it was popular. People wanted the power fantasy of soloing gods they downed on live and needed the nostalgia trip. Or they never got to see those raids on live and wanted to know what they missed..

I actually got muted for 24 hours for calling someone an Epstine when they were arguing how the game needs to be made more in line for children, after I specifically told them if they're to young to follow a mob that's running they're to young to be playing Everquest, they should be learning to read or do math.

Class and race tokens Fucking why invest in something retarded like that? I could just make a new character, it's just more bullshit that they'll add to the cash shop. You can tell he's uncomfortable explaining how the system works because he knows it sucks. People will be hyped because it's different then they'll get in game, play for awhile get 50/50/50 and be like Damn bro I don't wanna go back to 10/10/10.

Also is it just me or was the loadouts just the persona tab from live and the layout looks like fucking Zeal from Quarm.

Secrets:

- Plotted and executed THJ's murder because they were big jelly of their success. Full stop.

- Stepped into their large shoes with their little midget sized feet, and those retarded weird ass alphabet leaders on the EQ team believed whatever bs "game jawn" (stupid fucking name) pitched them for EQL.

- Completely failed to understand what made THJ wonderful based on that above post.

- Will ultimately fail to make EQ Legends a success because the overwhelming disappointment everyone is going to feel when they realize this isn't THJ and this is Secrets bastardized version of it.


This will be a massive disappointment to anyone who enjoyed THJ 100%, and I cannot wait to watch them get absolutely eviscerated on these forums.

This is what happens when devs take time to balance a game instead of it burning out in a few years. Thankfully based Daybreak decided to take matters into their own hands.

Here is the thing with a THJ licensed game. It isn't running out of content anytime soon. There is a ton of content to draw from for EQ. It isn't going to dry out. This is Secrets play to put their own custom content in the game since it was cockblocked on Quarm. On of it top, THJ was going to go towards a seasons experience. It's a continual content cycle. It was never running out of content. They got the classless system right while Secrets didn't.

It will be interesting to see Hollowed Oath’s gameplay video. As others have pointed out, Secrets struggles in their video so I’ll be curious if there’s a little more soul in theirs.

Did none of you play chainbreaker? To me this seems more inspired by that, but I never tried this THJ thing.

Doesn't it have some of the people that worked on chainbreaker included?

Chainbreaker had like 30 people playing it tops. So no, no one did play it.

But yes it has the person that was in charge of Chainbreaker. Why do you think people are not thrilled?

-Secrets makes a bunch of mediocre servers that aren't very popular
-Secrets then makes Project Quarm, which is moderately popular
-Secrets gets butthurt that THJ becomes wildly popular, and tattles to DBG to sue the creators
-Secrets then convinces DBG they can make THJ but "better" with Rogean and monetize it for DBG so they steal that idea entirely

Missed the part in the middle where Secrets got fired from their job. It's likely the desperation that forced the collaboration discussion with Daybreak.

I feel like I missed something, because the whole Secrets turned in THJ seems to be a very fringe, very uncorroborated theory. Like what was the proof of that? Lawsuits also take time to put together, Daybreak was probably working on filing that case and making sure they had a list of defendants with real addresses, names etc etc and all that for a couple months. Having worked closely with our corporate lawyers you can turn a cease and desist around quickly, like a day but not a lawsuit.
