Yeah that is him, he menitoned it in the few minutes I watched. The one thing I learned is if you swim backwards your skill doesn't go up. He was trying for 50 in OOT and only swim skill he started with. No idea why or how that info would be useful.
big recommend swapping out 1 of those for a mage, then at 10/11 you can go back to ranger/sk+another, water pet shits on everything
Cat Island thing? That's the highest (only?) mana regen item I've seen in EQL.
Yeah, it's from a newbie quest in the Kerran starting area. I did it at around level 7 with a Paladin/Bard. It's a bit of a pain with other people camping spawns, so I ended up making my own instance. There's another neck item if you kill some rats for some AGI, AC, and SVs, but that fight took me 15 minutes fighting a red named, so not sure if it's worth it. I just didn't want to come back later.
When you enter the settlement, he's in the basement in the north building. A search tells me "The Kerran Sha'rr" and that sounds right from what I remember. It'll open the quest window and tell you to go investigate the north side of the island to the south or something like that. It all takes place in that zone.
Warriors can get their passive regen to 200+ a tick with their AA and unyielding. Pretty crazy just to have that constantly going in the background. Anxious to try out rng/war/shm with that once I get a little geared.
