The castle zone does look cool though so I wish there was more too it than just the initial stuff.

You can get a werewolf and another thing to turn your pet into something. I selected protoplasm for my second item for the Halloween stuff. That stuff is better than most of the loot in the castle.

I saw the access quest for it and cancelled. They are going to wind up with 2 servers if they don't close down completely.

Classic+2 expansions should have been priority. This would have helped with itemization, added more to your alts because you’d have to do armor and epics, and would have encouraged more population growth. Not only that, you would have significant more time to work on meaningful additional content while there was more game to play. Probably do a couple of custom classic zones, then two kunark zones, and then finally a couple of Velious zones. You could wrap those into seasons and really could have done some cool stuff for the community while they had things to do in the main game.

That was kind of my beef with it, I ended up stopping at 46 because I hate sky and looked like Kunark wasn't coming out anytime soon. I will probably end up resubbing for a month or two when end of Kunark/start of Velious.

The first mistake they made was not adding EQL to the normal EQ sub. They knew there wasn't enough content the least they could of done is had it with EQ live/TLP so people have something to do while waiting for more content. As it is now, I bet most of the people that haven't renewed sub aren't even playing EQ.

They had a blueprint of something great, they could of just did a straight THJ port. Should of had kunark and honestly velious ready or close to it before even going live to stick to a quick expansion release schedule. Could of just did whatever optional content on top of that, while working on luclin and pop as it wouldn't be as much of a hurry.

EDIT: Also I want to add the whole mote grinding for +better kind of ruined the fun of even getting gear. Didn't feel as good getting a piece of gear because you still have to + it.
