Plot: A man gets lost in an underground passage. He follows the "guide" through the passage, but one after another, strange things happen to him. Is this space real? Or an illusion? Will the man be able to escape the passage?
I don't remember if this was the FIRST of the "genre" might have been. but, theres since been, just this whole slew of copycats too. basically just walking simulators. walk down a hallway, watch for "anomalies". see one, turn around and go back. if not, keep walking forward, and loop through the hallway. need to get through 8 times in a row. if there is an anomoly, and you miss it, it reset you back to 1. really dumb. just an excuse to have spooky thing in hallway. and make you loop through over and over till you see all the spooky thing.
I like movies that are taking place in a very limited setting with a minor amount of characters. If you really want to check something cool out, hit up shudder for A Dark Song. I think I've recommended it in the past when discussing horror, but it's literally just two characters and a house, and it's a slow burn, atmospheric or whatever the hell you want to call it, type film.
Oh yeah I definitely watched that on a recommendation here in the horror movie thread like 5-6 years ago, a great watch.
