I was going to say this.

Also Wraith is a huge guilty pleasure of mine. Great B flick.
Dude, I rewatched that maybe a few months ago, and it's still a great '80s flick. And the car was just so cool because it was an alien car!

really enjoyed this movie, great on dolby/imax screens too and the sound is phenomenal. The F1 racing scenes are just stunning, its ironic its coming from Apple TV+ since really they could have done an entire TV show filled with that stuff and more technical details.

Story is a little weak and basic, nowhere near as good as Rush but still i'm glad i saw it in theaters. Jurassic World 491 opens next week so if you wanna see it on the premium screens you only have a few days.

I just watched Ford versus Ferrari the other day for the first time, and I can't imagine that this movie will hold up to that wonderful film. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. Just watched it on a whim, but it was probably one of the best movies I've seen all year even though I think it came out last year maybe, and I never read anything about the thread.

10min in, comedy of the year. Woman is a F1 technical director, jogger is a chief mechanic, white guy some boss/principal who, of course, seems to be an ahole. Can't wait to watch the rest!

EDIT: Wow, tthey even have a shy pit-stop grill that keeps fucking up, I'm sure she's gonna have an amazeballs story arc, and will show the world that grills are getting it done! Sequel with her being a F1 driver, *when*?!?!?!?

Yeah, of course Ford vs Ferrari is great, Mangold knows what's he doing as well.

Haven't made it there yet, but every review I've seen is that Kosinski's visuals for F1 are the car-based equivalent of Top Gun Maverick and benefit from the biggest, loudest screen possible - and as others have said, with Jurassic World* 12** out soon, your opportunities are limited - the script is absolutely not the equal of Maverick, a painfully bland and mediocre affair that may as well have been produced by AI.

*Ironically, everything I hear about that movie is - wait for it - Gareth Edwards still knows how to shoot the terror of humans having to face monsters at the scale, and the script is shit.

**I can't think of Jurassic Park 7+ without singing this to myself:

Is this just days of thunder with F1 cars instead of Nascar? Same guy that remade Top Gun.

Is risky business next?

jurassic world isn't opening in imax (rushed production or something) so F1 will keep the IMAX screens next weekend until superman opens the week after

I saw this tonight. Fantastic movie. I really liked it a lot, and way more than the last Mission Impossible. It gave me a lot of Gran Turismo vibes, but that doesn't detract from it at all. Great watch.

Just got back from seeing this in Imax. This was way better than I thought it was going to be. Really solid summer movie.

saw it in D-Box, cinema with seats that shake with action. Worked well in the race scenes, but it was also going off on mundane scenes which took away from it a little bit.
pretty much a by the numbers movie but well executed.

Saw it last night. Definitely a movie that needs to be seen in the cinema. Basic storyline but fantastic visuals and sound. Recommend taking an edible for it.

Thank you all for recommending seeing this before Jurassic Park kicks it off IMAX! Was a great movie that doesn’t try to be anything more than Top Gun with really cool cars. Totally works. The Scenes on the track are insane and the sound quality in IMAX is worth the admission.

On advice from the bros here we saw this over the weekend. 1st movie in a theater since Top Gun Maverick. I went in planning to ignore the female engineer, the black partner, etc and not have high hopes for some epic level story. Enjoyed the movie for what it was. Looked and sounded great on the big screen. Brad Pitt was Brad Pitt. The ending went a little different direction from the way I thought it would go which was refreshing. Its a different film than Rush (which I really like) but just as enjoyable. 8/10

I was expecting Brad to sacrifice the win to give the kid the glory and was surprised when it went the opposite way. The kid telling him afterwards that he had plenty of time to get his wins and this one was Pitts showed the kid head learned something and matured.

I'm guessing there are no good torrents for this yet? Itching to see it; struggling to make it to a theater...

I tend to avoid theaters but based on reviews here I saw it on the big screen. While it will definitely look good at home on a big 4k, its really made to be seen in a theater.

I have a 120" laser projector setup I'd watch it on. I'd prefer Dolby Cinema AMC but yeah. Might still catch it there.
