Fallout by Larian would be legendary.

Ultima by Larian would be the wrong lore though. Iolo would be up your ass as soon as you delved into any kind of degeneracy.

God damn, that would be amazing. Larian's love of degeneracy held in check by their own even greater love of lore.

i mean...you could be a porn star in fallout 1. (or was it 2?). thematically apropriate though, basically in a casino strip. larian's degeneracy hit a cord because they fucked it up at launch and the queers would fly at you left and right hte moment you so much as introduced yourself.

Looking forward to playing this in 2036, during AOC's second term, when it releases in an unfinished state where the only completed things are the settlement system (which is now extensive) and the romancing system (where four out of five characters are gay and the other 20% are bi). Mostly looking forward to the arguments on here over whether people went with the Gamestop preorder bonus (nuke-shaped buttplug), the Walmart preorder bonus (a vibrating Wadsworth) or the Target preorder bonus (bobblehead of the Fallout mascot guy, who is now black)

Yeah, Target and Walmart start doing preorders. Best Buy went out of business, fairly soon actually. Gamestop is somehow still in operation. Everything is still made in China and Southeast Asia.

Guess we kind of forgot how starfield turned out.
I think I'm the only person on the forum that enjoyed Starfield...

Hey man, nowadays being tarded isn’t that bad. Lots of tarded people go on to do great things. My sister’s tarded and she’s a pilot.

Todd "money please" Howard. He knows the iron is hot for a fall out game and he had to strike now. I expect the game will be pretty rushed as no way they this was planned before TES6 before the fall out show blew up in popularity.

I expect a dlc level of fall out 4.

The show is supposed to be in the game timeline, so fallout 5 acknowledging the show isn’t a huge revelation

I'd rather a new Fallout than another Elder Scrolls to be honest.

Although, more Starfield would be better, but I know I'm the only one that enjoyed it, at least here.

Did he like it, too, I can't remember. I know there were a handful of people that did when the game was originally released and we were talking about it in the thread, I don't remember who though.
I love sandbox games, space games, colony RPGs and Bethesda games so i liked it while feeling like the Bethesda that made Skyrim would've made a 10x better game. Just about every facet of it was marred and I got tired of thinking about what could've been rehauled to be better.

I still enjoyed it, but whatever. It's not as if there are a ton of people on here that don't play other retarded ass games, especially some of that Japanese shit.

At the end of the day I got my money's worth out of it and would look forward to more.

If there's one change I'd make to the game it'd be to re-envision the campaign to start with the invention of the first activatino of the grav drive and ends in the Colony War. The player has a deciding role in major and minor conflicts and can assist different emerging factions in a highly procedural, generative way. Campaign-driven timeskips happen over control over highly valuable planets that emerge. The final battle can have varying levels of conflict depending on how the player acts, and then at the culmination of the first playthrough, the player unlocks magic space powers and can roll back to alternate universes when their grav drive activates and starts the cycle again, but with the ability to get magic space powers.

As it stands now, Starfield's actual plot is like a lame fanfiction written AFTER the above storyline.

Yeah something like that would have been pretty good. There's honestly a lot of directions they could have taken it, or maybe the colony wars were heating back up for some reason, maybe the crazy monster threat broke the peace treaty, and because a lot of people died, maybe that's why you get conscripted to go out and do whatever. Join the cowboy Republic and get the pilot one of the mechs because they're firing up the remnants of their war machine.

It definitely should have had the DLC as part of the main game. But you could have woven a bunch of stuff together between those three factions.

Honestly just found the game fun and relaxing for some reason. I just enjoyed screwing around building a ships, running whatever side missions, etc. The one with the rich old man was one of my favorites.

My thought is that there are definitely good bones to the game, they just didn't flesh out stuff enough, but it doesn't mean it wasn't a satisfying meal.

Starfield IMO should have leaned into the multiverse stuff earlier - reduce the scope of MSQ/systems, let the player experience the "base story", then you start jumping to alternate universes that range between "what if?" scenarios to show deviations from the base story to completely off the wall shit. Eventually you have to figure out connections between universes which allows you to access the final nexis point.
