So how was Glastonbury? After the weather and Chromeo cancelling, I am overall relieved I passed up my ticket
Glasto was amazing. My appendix blowing right after getting back in the states sorta sucked however. Saw so many amazing acts. Some I had never heard of before like Saint Vincent.

Very glad I went, going to be 30 in another year and I am guessing I won't be able to abuse my body like this as I get older. Only took a cpl rolls but it was def burning the candle at both ends.

Sorry I forgot about making this thread. Was pretty drunk, much of my rambling in OP seems even worse then my normally bad posting.

Khane are in you from Rhode Island or New England? I might go myself given it's only a 20min drive.

Looking at the lineup Band of horses had one song I loved. It seems vastly improved over when I went in the 90s, although the only other act I really recognize is Jeff Tweedy.

Edit: Also just bought and tent, and gear for Glasto! I still dislike the idea of Metallica and stuff but everyone changes. May be forced to buy stuff there however to avoid the risk of flying with stuff. I only really want a few rolls I think.

I might consider burningman once myself. In my late 20s so I figure its going to happen soon or never.
I'm from Connecticut. Just got back from this year's and it again was great. The best part of it for me is most of the bands in the lineup every year I've never heard and when I see them perform live they just blow me away.

Best new music find from this year's fest was Shakey Graves. The guy is an incredible singer/songwriter. Other really good acts were "The Oh Hello's", "Houndmouth", "Hozier", "Shovels & Rope", "Tall Tall Trees", "J Roddy Walston and the Business" (These guys are like old school rock and rollers, they put on such a great show) and "Thao and the Get Down Stay Down". I had seen a few of those acts already and knew they were great but those were the lesser known bands I went to see. There were plenty of bigger names like Jack White (who I think sucks), Conor Oberst (better known as Bright Eyes), Dawes, Jeff Tweedy, Mavis Staples, Band Of Horses, Deer Tick, Puss N Boots (Norah Jones), Jimmy Cliff and Ryan Adams. The Lineup is just always really fleshed out and there is always someone worth checking out on one of the three stages.

It's a festival I highly recommend to people because it's very laid back and very much focused on the music. There are never any problems or fights and you don't have people wandering around fucked up on drugs and alcohol puking everywhere.

Looks like I'll be seeing Jack White and Steely Dan for Foachella. I'm sure Jack White will be playing. Hopefully Steely Dan makes the trip. Lineup looks pretty weak.

I'm sure glad i went to the hologram tupac coachella year because every lineup since then hasn't appealed to me at all

I'm very curious what sasquatch will have this year, but it's usually 80% of the same stuff coachella has but well see... either way i'd like to go to sasquatch-the ampitheatre that it's at is 10000x nicer than coachella valley

All music festivals are usually 80% the same stuff. Artists just do the festival circuit these days.

If they moved a few people around then day 2 would be a lock but yeah, this completely missed the mark. Jack White is apparently bringing Run The Jewels along and that along with a couple bands from day 1, a good chunk from day 2 and maybe 3 from day 3 make this somewhat understandable but fuck, even in Tucson I'm going to get to see the good parts of this but with openers that have actually done something in the past year. My money's on Bonaroo again this year.

Linkin Park is still a band?
Seriously, how do they get top billing? They recently played a 1000-seat Casino theater here and didn't sell it out. I think their lead singer left to front Stone Temple Pilots(which is a horrible combo in its own right)

Just purchased my Eager Beaver ticket to Outside Lands. Lineup hasn't been announced yet, but it's usually pretty good. If not, I can sell my wristband for a shitload. This is a no-brainer for me since I can take a bus to/from the show that drops me off in front of my pad.

I know one of the guitar players of Death Angel. He's married to a co-worker of mine.

That reads like a list of what I listened to in high school, didn't realize several of those band were still a thing.
