Well that looks fantastic. 30 seconds in I was thinking "Trainspotting?", which is probably my all time favorite movie. I'm sold.

Hrmm.. I could be wrong but he just doesn't seem 'cool enough' to play that role.

Yeah, this movie makes me all sorts of happy.

Based on another Irving Welsh novel so might be why you thought of trainspotting, looks good, I really wish they would do a movie adoption of porno or Marabu Stork though instead.

Pretty sure Danny Boyle who did Trainspotting said at some point he'd like to adapt Porno as well. Fingers crossed I guess?

Yeah I heard he wants to do it, the issue is that ever since Boyle chose decapprio for the beach instead of McGregor they haven't spoken and no one wants to do the sequel to trainspotting without McGregor so until theu make up it isn't happening.

I read the same years ago.

There was, of course, the downplayed joke that the actors were not aging fast enough, due to vanity -- aka botox -- then.

I will see this no matter what though. Looks interesting enough.

So I watched this last night, and goddamn it was one of the weirdest movies I have seen in a while. It definitely had moments which were very funny, but then other parts were just really, really strange. James McAvoy does a pretty great job as a cop losing his mind, though.

I watched this with Onoes over the weekend. Thought it was pretty terrible. Just weird overall. McAvoy is a great actor for sure, but that is about the only good thing I have to say about this movie.

This movie really reminded me of Trance. He's been doing a lot of weird films lately, great actor but the story not so much.

great trailer looking forward to seeing this.

I liked the first part when he is seemingly in control of his schemes, but when he goes into his downward spiral, I feel the movie drowns as he does. Still better than Trance, but it's not saying much since that movie was hit by both the ugly and retard sticks.
