During this event I got Cloud, Dark Cecil, and Aerith to 50. Terra and Celes are pushing 40.

I'm about 50k crystals in. I figure I'll stop when I get the accessory. I'd like to get Cyan leveled up at some point using the flans but the accessory is my current priority. Doubt I'll go for the 200k orb.

This event is pretty tough. As a casual player my main team just hit 30 and there is no way I'm coming close to finishing hard mode, and the way it's structured you don't get much for not going far in hard mode.

I'd say it is worth at least making Dragon, especially just for this but it has come in useful other times. With that all you do is take Rydia + Celes (or whoever), 1 turn dragon, rinse and repeat. Works out very well.

Having said that though, no way am I going for any of the higher level fragment stuff. Even with the ability to farm No. 024 or whatever and guarantee a 4k+ round it is ridiculously time consuming. Yesterday after about 140 STA of resetting for just the Flan run to level Celes I got the No. 24 version maybe 4 times. RNG gonna RNG but even that seemed crazy to me.

Don't have Celes yet (less than 1k away) but never occurred to me to use Rydia and her Summon to just chain Flans all day. It's tedious as fuck but sure as shit can't argue with the results. I know what I'll be doing while this event is going on.

I should be able to get the hero ring by just grinding flans with mixed full groups and just finishing it out if i happen to hit 024 while im doing it. It is already pretty tedious and soul crushing. 200k for the major orb is just sadistic. I really think the devs are experimenting to see how much bs players will endure.

Bladeblitz works really well too. Just throw that FFVI 4* sword on someone and it's a single turn clear. Right now I'm doing Tyro with Mythril Rod and Dragon, PLD Cecil with Bladeblitz, and Josef just tagging along. Whoever comes up first with an AOE kills it all.

I think I need to swap to those, as I've had 024 come up a few times for the first fight, and I think I'm skipping the lottery on that one when I am grinding for Flans instead.

FWIW, I stopped running flans because it's just not fun. Yeah, I won't get a full group of 50s in the least amount of stamina. But like, life's too short, man.

lol just not a lot to do. Still dinking around every now and then.

Actually one question, is there any reason to keep like 8 of these bracer accessories? Since they can't be upgraded or combined it seems pointless to have more than 4 of any one.

It's pretty fucking obnoxious. I prefer challenge over time consuming, and that's what this event and the collection event are.

And no, no reason to keep so many accessories. They don't have a combine option in JP, so don't anticipate one for us anytime soon. Plus, if they ever do, you'll likely be combining 3 or 4 star ones, and not this 2 star garbage.

I've sold all but three of mine.

Just running Flans as often as I can stand. Which isn't much. And if you already have a full team (or more) of 50s, there's not much to do overall. Well, honing abilities but... jesus how boring. Probably one of the things that should have been copied over from things like BF or P&D is account leveling.

Yeah the STA shard vs. account leveling thing is something that I'm not very keen on (if that was where you were going). It'd also be nice if they added something like Ruby, Atma, Emerald, Omega, weapon fights that were like 50-70 STA a try. Just something to dump STA on if you didn't want to chain run Flans or Orb dungeons.

I'm casually just finishing things up until the next batch of content. My main team is 49-50 and everyone else is 20-45 mostly in the 20s. I have maybe 4 elites left and a couple more that need mastering. Other than that I don't really want to farm summon orbs. Definitely having fun, just a matter of waiting on content.

One thing this game needs is a daily dungeon for a mythril.

JP gives out a free mythril every day. You basically have two separate daily giveaway things (the one we have, plus one that's just mythril in every box). Then you also have some kind of other event going on right now too, which is a 3rd set of gifts.

On top of that they do stuff like 3 common relic draws a day as opposed to 1.

Today I just finished up the special one.

Rinoa event "soon"? I thought it was today (and a buddy also had that impression). This celes event needs to end... I made it to the 40s with my main party and just can't flan farm anymore (and only made it to 10k crystals).

Yeah. I already have everyone but Rydia on the bench. She has an ice whip so she gets the nod. Cloud, Tifa, Sephiroth, PC, Rydia were able do all the elites pretty easily 45-50.
