Yea Thengel, would recommend just solo-ing it if you can. With a decent team he's no harder than the U++. Apparently multiplayer adds like 2x-3x stats to the guy which is why it takes forever, and with the horrible lag and lack of reconnect features it's just not worth the effort.

Also Sazh does not suck :p. He carried me hardcore at the beginning, although Ramza is definitely the premier support.

Ao - indeed they do! Anything with different modifiers for the most part stack (Eg. Shout +atk and VoF +atk/mag and even Leon's Hand of the Emperor +atk/+def). Later on certain modifiers with the same buff stacks too, like shout +atk and Zidane's BSB2 +atk buff, but those are more fringe cases.

Are yall able to get into the game? Since yesterday when I try to open it it gets to the title screen where the music is playing, but is a blank screen and says download failed and reloading.

I have Ramza shout and his other SSB, which adds 50% crit damage. Combine with Eiko's BSB for crit rate buff, and OK buff or similar, might be fun!

Ok, sorry for the double post...


But what's this do beyond hitting for 9999 consistently? Is armor getting higher on the bosses? Are we going to see stronger straight "Attack" damage?
When I'm hitting with elemental weakness (not even with imperil or anything), I'm almost always hitting in the 9000 range for the major attacks.

Obviously it depends what the modifier is on the attacks you're using. Some attacks hit more times but for less, those would be the ones more worth using in this case.

For example last night on Orthros I got to run double damage dealers - Kain and Reno. Kain's commands are 2x 3.09 and lightning dive is 4x 4.52. Orthros only had 50% vulnerability on U++, so it wasn't all doing 9,999. Lightning dive yeah was hitting hard, his commands might cap out too with the new attack cap.

However Reno commands are 1-8 hits at 0.78 modifier, adding one attack each time you use it. By the end he was hitting 8x3k or so. He was still doing great damage, but this attack has TONS of room to grow.

Most of my attacks aren't hitting weakness.

Reaching 805 atk will probably require stacking atk buffs unless you have some heavy realm synergy. Not sure what my new physical teams will look like. Almost certainly will still use Onion BSB as one of the atk buffs, and for a stacking buff I'm not sure who to go with it. My options are Ramza (50% atk + haste), Minfilia (50% atk + Last Stand) or Sazh (50% atk + magic blink). I may just go with Ramza even though his haste part is redundant with Onions BSB, but I don't really need Last Stand, Sazh sucks, and I have a lot of Ramza relics for passive +10 atk's, and he's already fully 3* dived.

I'm tempted to pull on tonights bannser for Ramza's USB, which would be an amazing addition (30% atk/mag/def + party instant cast). Probably won't though, my FFT synergy is way too strong already to justify more FFT pulls.

Sazh doesn't suck anymore - Machinist got good. Ramza's Legend Materia is great, but if you aren't looking at that, Sazh's magic blink and Machinist skillset might be better than Ramza's (or forget about getting DPS from their own skills and use em for entrust).

A lot of people were having (and some are still having) connection issues after the latest patch. I had a hell of a time getting it to work for myself as well. After trying a ton of suggestions from reddit, and some of my own, I eventually fixed it on both my phone and emulator. To quote myself from my reddit post, this is what I eventually got to work:
Was having this issue on both my phone and android emulator (Nox), but finally got it fixed on both. For my phone, what finally worked was uninstalling the game, clearing the phones cache, rebooting the phone, then going down to a coffee shop and using their WiFi and reinstalling the game, which finally started working (couldn't get it to work when installing it from home's wifi or with 4G).

For my android emulator on my PC, I uninstalled the game, cleared the emulator's cache, shut down the computer, unplugged my home modem and router for 5 minutes, then turned all that back on, reinstalled the game on the emulator, and now it's working as well.

What an annoying day it's been with tons of wasted stamina, but I'm relieved it's now working. Hopefully this helps.

As for Sazh, my main concern was his limited equipment access (only guns / daggers), and not having access to combat4. Magic blink does have the potential to be extremely powerful though, so maybe he's worth leveling just to have in the toolbox. I have like 12 unused MC3's currently anyhow.

I was surprised that multiplayer is soloable. Really helped with the connection issues and retards on mandragoras.

Help!!!

I wanted Luneth's lvl 99 RM for the Double-EXP. So I did what any red-blooded American would do and tossed 40 or so Major Growth Eggs on her and took her from 1 to 99. I did NOT get the RM!

What do I do now?

You need to get all of Luneth's older RMs first. So just use him in low cost dungeons and they will start to drop. Once you get all the old ones the double experience one will unlock automatically.

P.S. Luneth identifies as male.

Never played FF3, sadly, I didn't know! Leave it to me of all people to misgender a hyper-androgynous Final Fantasy character... I love the irony... so so much.

Thanks for the tip! I thought the random drop RMs didn't affect the lvl 99 RMs and vice versa.

Working on FF7 Cid's Double-Exp drop as well and it seems like it's just... not... wanting to drop for me! :x

If you can, most of OK's RMs unlock easily, so getting his 2x XP was easier. Also OK is terrible stat wise until 92, so there's real incentive to break him.

For Cid's RM you have to be in FF7 dungeons. Can just do Mako Reactor No. 1 repeatedly for 3 stam each, or the ice & non-elemental dungeon on Saturday should work.
