I found the early "gil turtle" while doing the Destroyers for the mechabo upgrade. It was a rare steal for an item that only sold for 2500g and i was convinced they missed a 0 for those things. Bothered to finish my 400 resonance achievement, got my Archfina up to 535k health on Leah's overhealing so only had about 200 before doing the syphon spam.

You can change the difficulty at any time btw, you didn’t need to restart.
Agree with the vocals during battle, I turned that shit off within the first hour.

To the West of the Shrine for Onion Knight is a peninsula you can only reach by Airship. Run around in the grass/dirt areas, not forest, and its a 100% chance to fight Cactuars. 10hp with High Evasion. A solid strat is Lasswell using the Accessory that turns physical damage to Water damage, plus Barrage and Arms Akimbo, which will be 8 guaranteed hits and will break its guard so another character can follow up with 2 hits to finish it. 250 MRP per kill; and if you go to the town in Chapter 5, theres a sidequest that unlocks a Vision that has a 50% Boost to MRP received; get that unlocked on characters and you can start getting a lot of Visions to max or at least to Rank 6 on most characters.

There is a cactur spot in the desert area near where you were sent to get sandworms. I usually drop by and walk back & forth between the little cactus's on the map until something spawns, then run if it's a sandworm (not worth the effort). The green Cactur is really good to level up Visions.

Sure is looking like being done with this before OoT is out was a pipe dream.

This is the first turn-based RPG I've played since Metaphor: ReFantazio, since good ones are tough to find. They did a great job. I love the animation, the gameplay. I love how it seems they just wanted to jam a "best of" into Resonance, be it with characters or story. 30 hours in so far and on Chapter 5. I'll probably replay on Expert after my first playthrough.

For me, I never played it and know nothing about the story believe it or not. Either way I’ll just play OOT remake after I finish FF. I have gamer ADHD so I know if I switch I’ll end up with FF in the pile of back logs. My fault so I’m trying to correct my behavior
