They put a total of 15 you can choose from from both sexes instead of having to specify the sex? People be nitpicking about everything these days.
yeah, they didn't "deliberately avoid" it, they combined it into one, more improved, version of the recruit screen. False positive.

Yeah I'm down to hold judgement to see how it resolves itself in the game. Just a little jaded after coming right off returning a scifi book (kindle unlimited) that was going well until I saw a line "my parents thought I was a boy just because a little something between my legs". Just pissed off how much entertainment has been fucked with to promote the message.

I mean War of the Lions fucked up a lot of shit, you can't even steal Elmdor's loot, stealing shit was the only thing that made most of the fights difficult post TG CID
Also does the new difficulty ban subclassing the Math skill, because...

Some of the more broken combos have been nerfed on tactician mode supposedly. Math was specifically called out as being nerfed (only on tactician mode).

That makes sense, could one shot the board with Math + Haste Item in most encounters

This having cut content added back in is the main thing making me interested in maybe actually getting it at some point.
Wondering what content that's referring to though. Things that were in the Japanese version, probably, nothing huge, but we'll see.
There are screenshots on the back of the PS1 FFT case that aren't in the actual game. One in particular shows a cool-looking castle that doesn't exist ingame, another shows Vormav apparently doing a Lucavi transformation in the room where you fight Zalbag in the final game.
I'd like to see the two Lucavi that were intended to be in the game and got cut: Duma and Shem if I remember right, which I probably don't. Duma manifested via Prince Larg I think, Shem(hazai), who knows, maybe one of the Temple Knights that didn't get a stone.
IIRC both of them got dummied out of the game so they can be found in the PS1 version's code, but I can't find anything about it on google now weirdly enough.

I'd just like to get that castle battle from the top screenshot on the case, and maybe an optional uberboss fight with Duma (since his sprite was finished and he's in the game's code).
Alas, I doubt either of these things are going to be forthcoming. Wish remakes would be used as an opportunity to restore cut content more often. I also really wanted the Demon Souls remake to add the 6th Archstone and they whiffed on that opportunity. If Xenogears ever gets remade, I don't expect them to flesh out any of Disc 2 like everyone will be hoping for.

Dude I've been pissed all week knowing cuck Steam doesn't release this until noon est tomorrow meanwhile Switch/PS5/Xbox get it at midnight, or on Xbox I think you could even do the Nz trick and be playing right now. I just want to play this on my steamdeck. Fuck.

I don't have time for this any time soon, but I'm looking forward to hearing about it. Feel free to post some screenshots and whatnot.
The single best thing they can do is get rid of being trapped in multi-battle map stages so we don't have any more first-time players getting buried at Riovanes.
