I don't have time for this any time soon, but I'm looking forward to hearing about it. Feel free to post some screenshots and whatnot.

The single best thing they can do is get rid of being trapped in multi-battle map stages so we don't have any more first-time players getting buried at Riovanes.
They did that also. No more getting stuck mid game.

Roster size increased to 50 and previously female only gear is now wearable by any (Ribbon, Chantage, etc)

Perhaps I'm in the minority but I enjoyed the "Engrish" of the original Spell Casts, they sounded bizarre, which if you're casting spells, kinda fits

They definitely need to remove the Safeguard on bosses with 1 of a kind items, like they did in the og American Release (bug or not)

Ramza needs to be able to unlock his Father's class, none of that Onion knight nonsense

It sucks we lose the WOTL classes and the original script but I am hyped for this either way. Not sure what party I want to run, I think my biggest gripes with FFT were always that it was too easy once you're not 9 years old and the battle roster size was too small. I'd love to regularly bring 6 units into battle so I could have two melee, two casters and Ramza.

Here we go. That opening theme hit hard…nostalgia is full tilt.

Edit: British voice acting is jarring, not necessarily bad but I don't like it.

Currently mid play through of Tactics Ogre. Hoping by time I finish and move to FFT there will be mods out that reintroduce WOTL classes.

Auto-saves are very nice if you use them properly for save scumming. Stealing and poaching for example if you can get a character's full turn and Act before moving then make the attempt, if you fail reload and it is the start of the turn again.

Anyone try the hard difficulty level? Do the difficulty levels just affect enemy stats, or what? I'll probably give hard mode a try whenever I play this, just to have a new spin on the game.

Seems like they just do more damage, but only tested on level 3-5 mobs so far.

running 4 monks is pretty goofy, half the time ill just stand there and chakra while Agrias just dicks them
im gonna swap to geomancers once i can get them equiped for some goofy shit

I’m at the end of Chapter 1 on Hard Mode, I expected it to be challenging so I really min maxed without cheese.

My party is:
Capricorn Ramza: Monk (4 Squire, 2 Chemist, 3 Knight, 4 Archer, 4 Monk, 2 White Mage, 1 Black Mage, 4 Thief, 2 Geomancer, 1 Dragoon)
Capricorn Generic Male: Monk (3 Squire, 2 Chemist, 3 Knight, 4 Archer, 4 Monk, 2 White Mage, 2 Black Mage, 4 Thief, 1 Geomancer, 1 Dragoon)
Cancer Generic Female: White Mage (3 Squire, 2 Chemist, 2 Knight, 2 Archer, 5 White Mage, 1 Black Mage, 1 Orator, 4 Mystic)
Cancer Generic Female: Black Mage (3 Squire, 2 Chemist, 1 Knight, 2 Archer, 2 White Mage, 3 Black Mage, 4 Time Mage, 3 Summoner)

My guys are all level 10-11 which I'd prefer was lower. I need to go to the desert and hit the degenerator trap a few times but I am not super familiar w/ the delevel mechanics and I know you need to be a certain class to delevel without cucking your stats (I think Chemist would be my only option right now). Plus random battles are pretty tough w/ a 4 person party because its usually like 6-7 enemies vs me, so going in as a bunch of chemists to delevel isn't easy lol.

IIRC grinding everyone's Bravery to high levels and Faith to low levels was the main way I broke the game last time (that definitely counts as cheese, hardly anything could hit my characters).

Looking over the trophies, a platinum looks pretty doable. A few of them will be a pain, like "get five kills with the Holy spell as a White Mage" so I'm going to go for that. There's a trophy for maxing every class on one character, which I've done a few times in the past with Ramza, but at this point I'm thinking that's probably a terrible idea (since he'll outlevel everyone else by a good margin and thus pump up the enemies). I'll need to either look into this de-leveling trap, or have someone else max everything out (not sure how Squire is handled under those circumstances, though...it might have to be Ramza)

I forgot how min max this game can be. The 96% dodge/blade grasp is cool but 80% is just fine too. Same with zodiac signs,
that said I don’t plan to do any of it. Just got chakra on monk and already makes my group godlike.
