Friends I think is one of the funnier sitcoms of our generation, there was never an episode I didn't laugh at.

I loved friends, but i disagree. When i watch the reruns i find almost half the episodes boring and not very funny.

Sometimes i wonder why i loved it so much but then it dawns on me. It was just a Soap Opera about some 20-30 somethings who we loved. I watched because i wanted to know what happens to Racheal and Ross, Chandler, Monica and the rest of the gang.
Seinfeld has not aged well either, but at least i still get the jokes 20 years later. Most of the humor on friends seems very forced and Cliche.

For years I refused to watch Friends because it was the "in" thing. Then I finally started watching in season 5 or 6 and was pretty much hooked immediately. I still catch reruns and it's still hilarious to me.

Joey's Tax Stuff.

When that episode aired I renamed my porn folder and it has remained so ever since.

I thought about changing mine now, but then I realized people might click on it wondering who Joey is.

Lol, I click on that and it's pregnant Rachel talking to Phoebe, and Chandler walks in and says "Hi fatty" and then they make a joke about not knowing Chandler's job. Classic.

I've always felt seasons 1 and 2, and maybe 3, were pretty rough. They really found their legs later and the show became one of the greats. There's so many awesome episodes but the one that always comes to mind is when Monica convinces Chandler to start taking baths.

This is apparently the whole episode edited to just the important bath-related bits. (embedding disabled)http://youtu.be/beI-DpQxv0s

what a coincidence, started rewatching friends too, about two weeks ago. although i didnt think i would ever admit it. made it to season 8 so far (chandler moving to tulsa) and later season were funnier than earlier ones.

havent really watched any of the cast in their other stuff, except Matthew Perry in Studio 60, which i found quite good and didnt understand why they cancelled it.
gonna give Episodes a try next, hope it's as good as you said.

Episodes is great. I'm a sucker for the fictionalized versions of real people thing. Curb Your Enthusiasm and the like. James Van Der Beek on Don't Trust the Bitch was great in that type of role.

Go On is good for what it is. I think Perry is pretty funny on it most of the time, but it's definitely not as funny as Episodes.

Sadly Matthew Perry isn't as funny in Go On as I remember him being in Friends.
Chandler's sarcasm worked much better in an environment of friends that accepted that sort of behavior. Every show I've seen him in since (Studio 60 and Mr. Sunshine) sticks him in a workplace environment where it doesn't translate quite as well. Either he comes across as a dick of a boss or just really smarmy and self-absorbed.
