At first I thought the dude unplugged a stopper and the lake was draining.
I haven't bothered watching it yet then I figured I would wait till the entire season has been released but I appreciate your weekly updates.Getting better but I continue to wish this show was like 15% less stupid. Why did they stuff the rag dolls with rocks to then have them still float when dragged back in to the lake?
edit - as a tax for things happening it looks like no episode next week
Glad I'm not the only one bothered by that. They load up the things with like 200 pounds of rocks each and then...they float.Getting better but I continue to wish this show was like 15% less stupid. I'm in the same boat about not watching this season yet, but I constantly ask questions like that. But to be specific about yours, they talked about it, briefly, in like the first or second season - whichever one where they first started to go down in the caves. Not word for word quote but "why dont we just go down there and kill them all" and the answer was that they arent all right there and that they appear to use the magic doorways to get around. The way I imagined it in my head after that was that they are basically on a big ass ant hill in comparison. They know where the creatures sleep, they should just blast a big fucking hole above them during the day. Smoke em.
Obviously they don't have the tools/equipment for that, but that'd be great. "Surprise sleepy heads!" They'd probably just be reborn out of some ones shits in an outhouse a week later knowing this show.
Man, fucking Ethan, "I like when you're here Donna, I'm not scared when you are!" Don't you FUCKING put that voodoo on her you little shit! I shook my head in real life the second he said that.
How many more episodes do we have left before I can fire this up and watch it all? It's back and it's pretty good! Relative to the rest of the show!
I'm still hoping this is leading to the death of everyone or nearly everyone.

Is it getting better at least? You know you're my barometer for how good the show is turning out this season. And based on your weekly reviews apparently I just want the kid to be murdered by the night monsters, but they don't show up very often so I guess it's a loss. This was six so four more to go.

Is it though? This whole episode I was thinking about how hard it is to take this show seriously anymore. Upon finally learning new information about half a dozen times, someone (mostly Boyd) responds with, "wait, what do you mean?" like they haven't seen about a thousand fucking things that defy all logic. Or Donna with her "how are we going to tell these people about new thing!" as if these people aren't all redshirts, or if they actually were developed in any way that anything would somehow be a bridge too far of believability. I enjoyed Boyd asking the woman who just had her face burned off to go be his messenger. It's back and it's pretty good! Relative to the rest of the show!

I still don't understood why Victor with 40+ years of drawing experience still draws with crayons like he's 3. And his dad might be one of the worst actors I've seen on a show like this. I feel like he's the caricature of an actor who's done local stage shows his entire life, claiming to be an actor, and just never broke beyond a local dinner theater. We've also got old sassy black woman now, so that's fun.
That all said, I'm looking forward to the golem wrecking shit. Hopefully murdering all of these people. Maybe we're getting somewhere eventually, but 6 episodes in to this season we're still barely past the start line. Feels like one of those shows that's going to drag it out until the last 2-3 episodes the series where it all dumps at once.
