Oh goddamn I'm getting PTSD. Back in Y2K , we had one of those sony cameras that took a floppy disk. I'm on a construction site up in a 22* story tower and one of my supers calls me and says 'bring the camera' we had just received lighting for all 200 units in this 500,000 sq/ft building and I had a team of guys counting them. Some of the pallets had a cartoon guy praying that said 'please don't stack anything on top of these' and the sheet was folded in half because it was so crushed.
Later I get a call where they want a percentage of broken fixtures and I said 'only way to be sure is to open all of them and check. If you want to send someone to do it, I'll unlock the containers, otherwise, put it 100%'
BTW if you own/live in the Brighton tower @ Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach SC , this is your lights I'm speaking about.
*could be more/less than 22 story, some had floor 13 some didn't (superstitious bullshit) and this was 25ish years ago and I've had my brain worked on since then, so give me a break.
