But old Maangchi always steered me right. I am not an elitist about it but I do like making Jajangmeyon and Kimchi Jigae periodically. My kids love black bean noodle.

Absolutely, I doesn't have to be traditional but you just need to know like a handful of the ingredients and you can make amazing food. And the last time I was up in Charleston hanging out with my Korean buddy prior to him dying, when we were up in Philadelphia he bought a whole bunch of sushi grade salmon, and all these old Korean people show up at the house, p and we had a feast.
What are the things that his wife made was like pickled daikon. Oh my God it was so delicious. N I buy daikon and we use it for Asian type salads or slaws all the time but his wife made it like 10 times better than I've ever prepped it, and you know me I ain't no slouch in the ucking kitchen, but I went in there and was like Lisa please teach me how to make this because it was just delicious.
I miss that mother fucket, sex at Hill never be ever one of our family barbecues I'm going get loaded with him via Korean vodka.
