Maybe with those who actually train but I don't think your average armed civilian would know what the Tueller drill is. I know it's only anecdotal but the number of people I get asking me what drill I'm doing at the range is unreal and when I tell them and explain it to them I always get some variation of "Oh, really? I didn't know that" or sometimes "Oh, ok,so that's what that is."

Ayoob did a video with something like 50 officers doing the Tueller drill. Out of 50 only 2 beat the drill with only 1 being able to get rounds off in time. I see a lot of videos with officers letting suspects get way too close with a knife. Most of them already have service weapons out but still...
