I actually learned something new today regarding the parties.
In 1908, Taft and Roosevelt split because Roosevelt became a progressive and didn't like the conservatism of the Republican party. He ended up splitting the Republican votes by forming the Bull Moose party, allowing perhaps the worst President in US history to swoop in; the progressive Democrat, Woodrow Wilson.
Progressives ruined the United States.

Its just not true. Democrat party has always been the party of racists, and it still is. They just call it intersectionality now.
