I remember renting my first console... the Atari 2600. Ended up with the Atari 1024ST as the first computer at home. My first video game that I bought with my own money as a kid was Rick Dangerous. It was during a vacation trip, I fell asleep hugging that box, longing for it to be played. I would later buy Space Crusade which I spent an unholy amount of hours playing.

Those that wanted to save a few bucks checked at Sears.
