i would take one today over the cookie cutter shit that car companies put out now. how do people not realize they are driving the exact same car as everyone else?

I would counter that you putting that much feeling into a device that sits unused 90-95% of the time, is a major debt source both on purchase and upkeep costs, and who's primary purpose is to get you from A to B and back is the abnormal thing. IDGF what my ride looks like as long as it gets me where I want to go. Fuck, I'd take a teleporter if one was available. As the joke goes "Now We're Just Haggling Over the Price".

i love the paintings with stuff going on. it should have a story to tell or at least imply there is a story going on. one of my favorite pieces of all time is this painting by Renoir.

i have a huge version of that in my living room. on the opposite wall i have this one

i will sometimes look at either painting and wonder if they are related in any way other than just being painted by the same artist and this stuff is his jam. i wonder if guy in wifebeater hooked up with one of those chicks at the table and is later dancing with her. just silly stuff to think about.
On my first visit to the Getty Museum, I came across a painting by Lawrence lma Tadema, titled Spring. I was impressed with its level of detail and color:

commenta are fun
1957 Plymouth Belvedere Sport Coupe.
My goodness… look at the misaligned belt line aluminum trim strip at the door and rear quarter panel. Chrysler quality control was in the dumpster in 1957. In fact… ‘58 was worse.

The first car I bought for myself was a 65 Plymouth belvedere. I loved in on the highway, but the transmission was nightmare fuel.
