Yeah I've heard of that one on the scrapyard. Think there was even a House episode sort of based on it.

In Chernobyl, the radiation was so high in certain areas that you could hold a neonpipe infront of a hallway entry and it would start gloing out of itself.
Alot of people who made handmade watches got cancer of the throat, because they painted the illuminating Radium with a tiny pencil and kept licking the tip of the pencil before applying a new number onto the watch.
