Am I the only person who feels a mild sense of loss when they see stuff like this? I'm no biologist but Jellyfish seem like the insects of the sea, but even still it's a massive loss of life.

Have you ever been on a beach with rotting animals on it?
Yup and I saw the local ecosystem recycling it. Same as what happens with the jellies. I also know this because I watch NatGeo and thus am an expert in my field of armchair ecology.
